Deped Tayo Tanda Elementary School

The closure of schools due to COVID-19 has caused substantial disruption in education. As a result of the Pandemic, there is an increase in learning losses and inequalities. Students whose parents with less education were the most affected by these learning losses (vulnerable and disadvantage communities). Despite the change from formal (face-to-face class) learning to modular learning modalities, the Department of Education-General Santos City took the initiative to improve the distant educational experience by adopting various methods.

Following the outbreak two years ago, Sir Marcelino M. Jilongo Jr., the School Head of Tanda Elementary School, implemented limited face-to-face classroom learning, in which first and second graders participated. The implementation of the limited formal learning starts today, March 8,2022. In order to protect students from viral threats, the school diligently followed health measures. The school head and teachers carefully planned the ex*****on of the limited face-to-face class, such as the preparation of a hand washing area, the provision of sanitizer, the use of face mask in the school, observing proper social distancing, environmental cleaning and ventilation, isolation area for those who have symptoms, checking of body temperature, and the provision of medicines.

As part of the teaching and learning institution let us ensure that every learner was effectively learning.
