To strengthen institutional linkages and partnerships with local schools and support preparations for the upcoming Academic Year 2026โ2027, the College of Teacher Education (CTE) of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) conducted a community extension activity as part of Brigada Eskwela at Jose P. Laurel Elementary School in Barangay Dadiangas North, General Santos City, on June 05.
The program commenced with a prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. This was followed by the welcome remarks of Merjorie Q. Ablay, Assistant School Head of Jose P. Laurel Elementary School, who expressed her gratitude towards the initiative of the participants. โYour generosity is the heart of the school,โ she stated.
Messages of appreciation were then delivered by Louie Mark G. Garvida, School Head of Jose P. Laurel Elementary School, and Analisa T. Amada, Dean of the RMMC College of Teacher Education, who both emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting quality education.
Following the messages, school supplies were distributed to the learners with the assistance of the faculty, staff, student leaders, and volunteers of RMMC CTE.
Meanwhile, Gerald Ryan O. Reburcio, Assistant Dean of RMMC CTE, highlighted the significance of extending assistance not only to rural communities but also to urban areas, where many students continue to face challenges and difficulties. โThis initiative is the beginning,โ he remarked.
Selected pupils of Jose P. Laurel Elementary School also showcased their talents through storytelling and presentation. The school also honored RMMC for its support and contribution by presenting a certificate of recognition, followed by a photo opportunity with the participants.

To conclude the activity, student leaders and volunteers assisted in cleaning classrooms, organizing school inventories, and preparing the school environment for the opening of classes.
