GSCNSSAT strengthens Project Trade to Boost Reading Skills in School

GSCNSSAT’s innovative initiative, Project Trade (Teach.Read. Apply. Develop. Empower), is designed to enhance reading skills among learners. The program aims to provide targeted reading interventions and support to help students become proficient readers.

In a regular pull-out session today, Ms. Karen Crampatanta-Lagare, the school reading coordinator and Maam Leila Abdusalam, the Filipino Reading Coordinator were both joined by key school officials, including Principal Sir Bienvenido L. Ruedas, Assistant Principal for Academics Dr. Angela Yumang , Assistant Principal for Operatios Ma’am Russel Batoon, Guidance Counselor Sir Lito Abraham who played an integral role in outlining the goals and strategies of the initiative.

Project Trade not only focuses on the academic development of Tradean learners but also invites pre-service teachers and practice teachers from various colleges to serve as tutors. These educators received a thorough briefing from Ms. Crampatanta-Lagare and Dr. Yumang, learning how they can help transform striving readers into β€œreader-ready”.

This initiative represents GSCNSSAT’s ongoing commitment to enhancing literacy and fostering a culture of reading. Project Trade will serve as a crucial tool in supporting learners and nurturing their skills, as the school community rallies behind this exciting new chapter in education. With strong backing from key educators and school leaders, Project Trade is poised to make a lasting impact on literacy and reading engagement at GSCNSSAT.
