🌱 DALI, MO! Mag-uban Ta sa Pagbangon 🌱

In the wake of the recent earthquake, healing begins when communities come together.

Join us as we gather children for an afternoon of creativity, learning, and hope through DALI, MO! Mag-uban Ta sa Pagbangon: A Creative Arts-Based Healing and Recovery Program for Earthquake-Affected Children. Through music, dance, storytelling, drawing, games, and cultural activities, children will be provided with a safe and supportive space to express their feelings, strengthen resilience, and connect with one another as they move forward from their experiences.

Matapos ang malakas na lindol na tumama sa Mindanao nitong nakaraang linggo, bumisita tayo sa Mindanao State University - General Santos upang personal na makita ang kalagayan ng paaralan at makausap ang mga opisyal, g**o, kawani, at estudyanteng naapektuhan ng sakuna.

Sa atoang paglibot sa MSU-GenSan kauban si Chancellor Shidik Zed T. Abantas, mga opisyal sa unibersidad, mga lider sa estudyante, ug uban pang miyembro sa komunidad sa MSU-GenSan, 𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱. 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺, 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝘂𝗴 𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗽𝗮 𝗹𝘂𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗻, samtang ang ubang mga academic unit naghulat pa sa temporary nga pagbalhin aron ipadayon ang ilang mga klase ug uban pang kalihokan.

Nakababahala rin na umaabot na sa humigit-kumulang ₱𝟵𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮 sa imprastraktura ng pamantasan. Sa likod ng mga nasirang gusali ay libu-libong estudyante, g**o, at kawani na naghihintay na makabalik sa ligtas at maayos na pag-aaral at pagtatrabaho sa lalong madaling panahon.

Samtang ang unibersidad nagpadayon sa pagbangon, importante nga dili nato pasagdan ang mga kabatan-onan nga nagsalig sa MSU-General Santos aron magtuon ug makabaton og mas maayong kaugmaon.

Bilang Chairperson ng Senate Committee on Basic Education, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝘂𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗯𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘆𝗮 𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗸 𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗦𝗮𝗻 at makabalik agad sa normal ang operasyon nito.

Sa panahon ng sakuna, mahalagang hindi lamang ang mga gusali ang ating ibinabangon kundi pati ang pag-asa at kinabukasan ng mga kabataang umaasa sa mga ito. 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐌𝐒𝐔–𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝-𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟑𝟐 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐋𝐄𝐓
Mindanao State University–General Santos proudly celebrates another historic achievement as it produced a record-breaking 32 topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET), marking a milestone of excellence for the university and its teacher education programs.
Among the 32 topnotchers are 17 Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), 9 Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED), and 6 Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED).
Leading this historic achievement is Monnete L. Yap of the Bachelor of Elementary Education program, who secured Top 1 nationwide with an outstanding rating of 95.00%.
Adding to this remarkable feat, the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) program proudly celebrates its first batch of graduates and first LET takers from MSU–GenSan, who immediately made their mark by securing multiple Top 10 placements in the national examination.
Highlighting this milestone are the following topnotchers from different programs under the College of Education:
𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒
𝟏𝟕 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐃) topnotchers recorded a 100% passing rate among first-time takers, with an overall MSU–GSC Elementary passing rate of 90.53%.
𝟗 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐏𝐄𝐃) topnotchers led an outstanding performance as the program achieved a 100% passing rate in the March 2026 LET.
𝟔 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐃) topnotchers contributed to the university’s strong performance, with MSU–GSC Secondary Level recording a 95.57% passing rate among first-time takers and an overall passing rate of 87.08%.
Moreover, MSU–GenSan continues to strengthen its reputation for academic excellence and quality teacher education through the dedication and competence of its students, faculty mentors, and academic leaders in fostering excellence and producing globally competitive educators.

Global Hearts, Local Roots: MSU-GSC Receives Nursing Donation from NJ-Based Alumna

On April 20, 2026, Mindanao State University-General Santos City celebrated a significant turnover ceremony at the Office of the Chancellor for a generous donation of nursing textbooks and medical supplies from New Jersey-based alumna Ms. Darlene Dilangalen-Borromeo. This initiative aims to empower the next generation of Filipino nurses by providing the College of Health Sciences with essential clinical instruments and the latest specialized nursing references.

The ceremony was presided over by Chancellor Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, MDM, LLM, who officially accepted the donation alongside Alumni Relations Office Director Alma Celesthia D. Aguja, DM, University Librarian Betty M. Celda, and Jimmart R. Pedrigosa Dean of the College of Health Sciences. The event was further highlighted by the presence of Mary Lynn S. Abiera, President of the MSU High School Alumni Association, who stood in support of the initiative led by Ms. Borromeo, who serves as the association's Vice President for External Affairs. Also in attendance were various university staff, and distinguished alumni guests.

During the program, Ms. Borromeo joined virtually to share her mission of "Empowering the Next Generation of Filipino Nurses," and the event concluded with the formal signing of turnover documents and a celebratory group photo with the university leadership and alumni representatives.

Our deepest gratitude goes to Ms. Borromeo for her unwavering support of institutional excellence and for investing in the future of our nursing students.
