Last Wednesday, more than 120 relief packs, different sizes of diapers, boxes of clothes, and drinking water were successfully distributed to Big Margus and Logpond-Taluya, Glan. The relief effort was accompanied by AB English student-volunteers, who also carried out a separate distribution of hot lugaw and relief goods in another area of Big Margus. All volunteers returned safely to General Santos at around 10:00 PM. We thank all volunteers and sincerely appreciate all sponsors for their support in making this operation a success.

As the student council has yet to gather sufficient support through monetary donations, in-kind contributions, and other forms of assistance, it will launch another wave of initiatives to further strengthen the relief effort.

As families strive to recover from the impact of this calamity, we call upon the spirit of bayanihan to help provide essential relief and basic necessities to those most affected. 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗔 𝗦𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔: 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧 𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗗𝗝𝗔𝗢 𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥 - 𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗜

Ilulunsad ng Secondary Education Students’ Council ng Mindanao State University-General Santos, sa pakikipagtulungan ng SK Siguel, ang Phase 1 ng extension program na Kalinga sa Bata: Adopt a Badjao Village Daycare Center sa Hunyo 3, 2026, mula 1:00 PM hanggang 4:00 PM. Magsisimula ang programa sa Barangay Hall ng Barangay Siguel para sa mga panimulang aktibidad, at susundan ito ng ribbon cutting at aktwal na implementasyon sa Badjao Village Daycare Center kung saan opisyal na ilulunsad ang reading corner at ipamamahagi ang mga age-appropriate learning kits para sa mga batang mag-aaral.

Ang Kalinga sa Bata ay isang community service extension program na pinangungunahan ng SESC, na pormal na pinagtibay sa pamamagitan ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing na isinagawa noong Mayo 1, 2026 sa Barangay Hall ng Siguel. Layunin ng programa na tugunan ang pangangailangang pang-edukasyon ng Badjao Village Daycare Center sa abot ng makakaya. Ang Phase 1 ay magsisilbing unang konkretong hakbang ng nasabing kolaborasyon, na lalahukan ng mga student volunteers mula sa mga recognized student organizations ng MSU-General Santos City.

Hinihikayat din ang patuloy na suporta para sa programa sa pamamagitan ng mga donasyong pera at in-kind, partikular para sa mga aklat at learning materials na angkop sa mga batang mag-aaral.

The Office of the President issued an Executive Order constituting the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of the Secondary Education Students’ Council (SESC), pursuant to Resolution No. 002 of the Commission on Appointments and the provisions of the SESC Constitution and By-Laws. The Commission shall be composed of five (5) Commissioners representing the four (4) BSEd sub-organizations and one (1) Commissioner endorsed by the SESC President, subject to confirmation by the Commission on Appointments.
