Not every success story starts with ease. Some are built through challenges that demand everything from you.

As an Accountancy student at STI - College General Santos, Nel J A. Bautista faced the demanding task of balancing academics, business responsibilities, and personal commitments. At times, it felt overwhelming, but she refused to give up. 💪🏻

Through discipline, planning, and persistence, she learned to manage her time and overcome obstacles step by step. STI became the place where she developed not only technical skills in accountancy, but also life skills that prepared her for the real world.

The hands-on learning environment, mentorship, and industry-relevant training helped her build confidence in her abilities. This foundation made her transition into the professional world smoother and more purposeful.
Now working in the finance field, she continues to apply the lessons of adaptability, persistence, and collaboration in her career.

Her journey proves that growth is not about avoiding challenges but about learning how to rise through them ✨

Students from the STI College General Santos Junior Institute of Philippine Accountants served as volunteers during the 32nd Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Mindanao Geographical Area Office (MGAO) and 43rd Association of CPAs in Mindanao (ACPAMIN) Conference held at the KCC Convention and Events Center on May 21–22.

Around 20 STIGSC-JPIA volunteers assisted the PICPA Gensan Chapter in ensuring the smooth flow of the two-day conference attended by accounting professionals, educators, and delegates from different parts of Mindanao.

The student volunteers helped coordinate with technical teams, assisted organizers and delegates with immediate needs, supported speakers during their sessions, and helped delegates comply with attendance.

The conference carried the theme “One Heart, One Mind: Leading with Action for Impact,” focusing on professional development, innovation, and collaboration within the accounting profession.

According to the student volunteers, participating in the conference gave them firsthand exposure to professional event operations and allowed them to interact with accounting practitioners and industry leaders.

The event served as an opportunity for student volunteers to strengthen their leadership, communication, and service skills while supporting one of the major gatherings of accounting professionals in Mindanao.
