MathTURO strengthened Grade 7 learnersโ€™ numeracy skills through a weeks-long outreach program at Calumpang High School, engaging third-year BSEd Mathematics majors and NSTP volunteers under the League of Educators Major in Mathematics - Secondary Students (LEMMA-Sยฒ), with support from Mindanao State Universityโ€“General Santos and Calumpang High School administration headed by Dr. Norman M. Norberte, PhD.

Program implementation delivered structured and interactive mathematics sessions aimed at improving conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and learner engagement through guided and collaborative activities.

Program activities began with a launching and orientation that outlined objectives, expectations, and session flow, allowing Grade 7 learners to adjust and engage early.

Facilitators then reinforced participation and cooperation, helping learners overcome initial hesitation and adapt to the instructional setup throughout the program.

On March 27, 2026, the 10-week MathTURO extension program of the BSEd Mathematics students successfully came to a close through the collective efforts of the LEMMA-Sยฒ Faculty, and Calumpang High School partners. The culmination was not only a celebration of the programโ€™s success but also a reflection of the dedication, teamwork, and shared commitment that made the entire journey meaningful. The event was filled with energy and enthusiasm, highlighted by the active participation of everyone present.

A lively intermission number from the first-year EdMath students added excitement to the program, while the newly introduced โ€œMathTURO danceโ€ brought joy and entertainment to all. One of the most meaningful parts of the event was the MathTURO Pledge, where the students pledged that in the next MathTURO, they would do even better and continue striving to learn.

As the program ended, everyone went home feeling recognized, appreciated, and inspired. More than just an extension activity, MathTURO became a space where confidence was strengthened, connections were built, and love for learning was nurtured. It served as proof that beyond solving problems, MathTURO creates lasting impact and opens the way for even greater things ahead.
