On this National Teachers’ Day, we honor the educators who have become an important part of our journey—not only through the lessons they impart, but also through the encouragement they provide as we face challenges, discover our interests, and develop our potential.

For the GMATHS Science Club, this occasion holds special significance as we recognize the teachers who have consistently guided us throughout our activities and endeavors. To our Adviser, Ma’am Joy, Assistant Adviser, Sir Ramil, and Department Head, Ma’am Karen, we extend our sincere gratitude for the time, patience, and trust you continue to give us. Your guidance has made our experiences as Science Enthusiasts more meaningful and has encouraged us to become responsible, curious, and committed learners.

SCI-DRIVE: SHARING CARE through INNOVATIVE DISTRIBUTION of RESOURCES and INSPIRING VISION in EDUCATION

The GMATHS Science Club successfully conducted SCI-DRIVE, an initiative that aims to extend essential school supplies and learning resources to fellow learners in need.

More than the materials we were able to provide, Sci-Drive became a reflection of what can happen when people come together with one purpose: to help, to share, and to make a difference. Every contribution, effort, and helping hand became part of an initiative that the GMATHS Science Club proudly carries.

As our Science Club President, Pres. Montilla, shared:
“We don’t always have to have everything figured out. Sometimes, we just have to work together, adjust, and keep going.”

These words resonate NSCM 2026's theme “FLOWSTATE: Fostering Focus, Foreseeing Future.” In science, in service, and in the challenges we face, progress does not always come from having everything perfectly planned. Sometimes, it means adjusting, working together, and simply keeping going.

And that is what makes Sci-Drive one of the initiatives we proudly stand for. It is a testament to how science goes beyond the classroom: it can inspire us to collaborate, serve others, and look toward a future we can build together.

On September 9, 2026, the GMATHS Science Club celebrated National Science Club Month 2026.

In line with celebrating this month, the GMATHS Science Club presented a Digital Poster-Making Contest where participants could unleash their artistic talents while also giving their own interpretation of how science can help inspire focus as we look forward to a better future.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the participants who presented their efforts and to all the winners of this contest. We hope that by participating in the NSCM celebration, you were able to foster knowledge and growth within yourselves. With this in mind, we also hope that you’ll carry the lessons you learned throughout this celebration.

🔬🏃 HANDS-ON, MINDS-ON | Sci-Mazing Race

The GMATHS Science Club brought science to life through the Sci-mazing Race, an exciting journey where learning met teamwork, curiosity, and fun!

Through a series of engaging challenges and activities, participants had the opportunity to think, observe, solve problems, and work together while putting their scientific knowledge, skills, and creativity into action.

Every challenge brought a new discovery, and every discovery brought participants closer to understanding the amazing world of science. From one challenge to another, participants used their scientific thinking to complete the race and reach the finish line.

Learning science became even more exciting as participants worked together, faced challenges, and enjoyed the journey. Teamwork, determination, and scientific knowledge came together to make the Sci-mazing Race a thrilling and meaningful experience.

Science is everywhere, and the Sci-mazing Race gave participants a chance to discover it in an exciting and engaging way. More than just a race, it was an opportunity to learn new things, solve challenges, make memories, and have fun with science!

🔬 SCIENCE IN MOTION | GMATHS SCIENCE CLUB KICKS OFF NATIONAL SCIENCE CLUB MONTH 2026

The Science Club of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School (GMATHS) officially commenced its National Science Club Month (NSCM) celebration on September 9, 2026, marking the beginning of a month-long journey filled with scientific exploration, innovation, and discovery.

The opening program was made possible through the collective efforts of the Science Club advisers, officers, and members, who worked hand in hand with dedication and enthusiasm to prepare the event. Their cooperation and teamwork reflected the very essence of science—where ideas become more meaningful when explored and developed together.

Students were also encouraged to actively participate in the celebration, providing them with opportunities to engage with science beyond the classroom. Through the activities prepared for NSCM, learners are given a platform to ask questions, explore new ideas, think critically, and discover how science can be applied to real-world challenges.

This year’s celebration seeks to strengthen students’ appreciation for science and inspire them to become curious thinkers and innovative problem-solver.

NSCM 2026 HIGHLIGHTS: SCI-MAZING RACE (HANDS-ON, MINDS-ON)

As part of the National Science Club Month 2026 celebration, the GMATHS Science Club brought learning beyond the classroom through the Sci-Mazing Race (Hands-On, Minds-On)—an exciting activity that challenged science enthusiasts to put their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills into action.

With a set of materials, objectives, and challenges to accomplish, participants were given the freedom to explore, experiment, and develop their own strategies. More than simply reaching the finish line, the activity encouraged participants to stay focused, think critically, and work together as they navigated each challenge.

The Sci-Mazing Race embodied this year's theme, FLOWSTATE: Fostering Focus, Foreseeing Future, as participants immersed themselves in hands-on experiences that turned curiosity into action and challenges into opportunities for discovery.

From the first challenge to the final finish, the Sci-Mazing Race made this year's National Science Club Month celebration a memorable journey of focus, teamwork, discovery, and science in action! 🧪💡

‎Ready to put your science knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test?
‎
‎As part of this year’s National Science Club Month (NSCM) celebration, the GMATHS Science Club invites all Junior and Senior High School students to participate in HANDS-ON MINDS-ON 2026!
‎
‎THEME:
‎
‎“FLOWSTATE: Fostering Focus, Foreseeing Future”
‎
‎Get ready to take on a series of exciting science challenges that will test your ability to think critically, work efficiently, apply scientific concepts, and achieve your goal under pressure.
‎
‎WHO CAN JOIN?
‎
‎The competition is OPEN to all Junior and Senior High School students of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School.
‎
‎
‎IMPORTANT: Participants will register individually. Registered participants will be grouped by the organizers into teams of six (6), with two representatives from each grade level in their respective category.
‎
‎THE CHALLENGE
‎
‎Participants will take on FIVE (5) different science stations, with each station featuring a specific activity, materials, and goal to accomplish.
‎
‎Teams will rotate from one station to another and must complete each challenge within the given time limit.
‎
‎Time management, proper ex*****on, teamwork, and achievement of the goal will all contribute to your team's score!
‎
‎
‎SCORING SYSTEM
‎Each station will be evaluated based on the following:
‎
‎Time Management — 5 points
‎Finished within the given time limit.
‎
‎Execution of Task — 5 points
‎Proper use of materials and teamwork in performing the task.
‎
‎Achievement of Goal — 5 points
‎Successfully meets the intended objective of the activity.
‎
‎⭐ BONUS: An additional 2 points will be awarded if the group finishes ahead of time and successfully achieves the goal of the task.
‎
‎GENERAL MECHANICS
‎
‎Participants must register through the official Google Form. Only registered participants will be considered official contestants.
‎
‎Participants will be grouped into teams of six (6) by the organizers.
‎
‎Teams must follow their assigned category and station rotation.
‎
‎All participants must follow the instructions provided by the facilitators.
‎
‎Materials must be used properly and responsibly.
‎
‎Teamwork and cooperation are required throughout the activity.
‎
‎The group with the highest total score will be declared 1st Place, followed by the next two highest-scoring groups as 2nd Place and 3rd Place.
‎
‎In case of any dispute, the judges' decisions are final and irrevocable.
‎
‎
