Is your brain ready to learn for this coming school year? 🧠📚
In a world where AI can answer questions in seconds, it's easy to rely on technology for everything. But while AI makes many tasks easier, we still need to make sure that our minds are actively thinking, creating, and learning.
That's why we need to learn how to un-AI our brains. 🤖💭
At VSC, we believe that education goes beyond finding answers - it’s about discovering them. That's why Victorians embrace learning by doing: asking questions, solving problems, building ideas, and gaining real experiences that develop critical thinking and lifelong skills.
As we prepare for another exciting school year, let's challenge ourselves to stay curious, think independently, and keep our minds engaged. After all, technology is a tool, but it is our creativity, reasoning, and passion for learning that truly shape our future. 💡

We often talk about trees as decoration.
Something nice to look at.
Something that gives shade.
Something “replaceable.”
But the recent tree-cutting along Quirino Avenue reminds us that trees have never just been background objects in our cities. They are infrastructure too - only quieter.
For years, those trees stood along the avenue unnoticed by many people rushing to school, work, or home. Yet every single day, they were doing invisible labor for the public. The issue forces an uncomfortable question: What kind of future are we building if the things that make cities liveable are treated as obstacles to development?
Progress should not mean choosing between mobility and ecology.
A modern city should be capable of protecting both people and the environment they depend on.
Maybe the outrage surrounding Quirino Avenue is not only about the trees themselves. Maybe it is also grief. Perhaps that is the cruelest thing about environmental loss. Kaya ang tanong? Puno ka na ba?
–
As part of our innate advocacy of environmental awareness and preservation, we give you this informational spread about our trees (fun facts) and its reflection of the recent environmental crime we are facing today in the Philippines. This is not an isolated case, so we should equip ourselves with the right information as this occurrence keeps on pressing on. And hopefully in the near future, our joined and informed voices help us act on and preserve a greener future for everyone.
Want to help beyond sharing this post? Support tree protection, native tree-growing, environmental legal work and conservation groups that help defend the green spaces our cities cannot afford to lose.
We, as the Victorious Student Council, will promise to put a highlight on projects and advocacies that addresses this issue. We are excited to work with you in the upcoming school year. Until we meet again!
