The PUP Disaster Resilience Institute (DRI), in collaboration with the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (UDRRMC), will conduct the University-Wide Awareness Program on Gun Violence Prevention and Human Trafficking in observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2026.

This initiative aims to raise awareness and empower the PUP community with knowledge and practical strategies to prevent gun violence, recognize and respond to human trafficking, and promote a safer, more resilient, and informed society.

The program will feature Dr. Winston John Romero Casio, a physician, public health advocate, and former Director and Spokesperson of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), who will share his expertise on violence prevention, human trafficking awareness, and community safety.
