‎𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦|PSK2: Para sa Kabataan, Para sa Kalikasan: International Coastal Cleanup Drive 2026
‎
‎
‎Today, September 27, 2026, at 5:30 in the morning, PUPians gathered for a coastal clean-up drive at Sta. Maria Ibaba. Students and student leaders collected trash to maintain cleanliness and protect the seaside community.
‎
‎Hosted by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) in collaboration with the GIFTED PUPians Organization of PUP General Luna, Quezon Campus, the activity successfully marked the celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day 2026. Members of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) and other various organizations actively participated in the drive, supported by organization officers who dedicated their time, effort, and enthusiasm to document the event.
‎
‎The involvement of student leaders demonstrated the strength of youth leadership and unity. True leadership begins with the courage of students to come together in active service to others. By taking direct action, these officers set a strong example of environmental stewardship and inspired their peers to engage in community-building initiatives.
‎
‎The event also embodied the spirit of bayanihan as individuals working together toward a shared purpose. While clearing a coastline may seem simple, the collective efforts of the students made a noticeable, positive impact on the environment.
‎
‎Overall, the coastal clean-up highlighted how collective action can turn a simple community initiative into a meaningful contribution. It united the youth, raised environmental awareness, and underscored the values of cooperation and shared responsibility. As the activity created an opportunity for the students to learn the value of cooperation and shared responsibility, it is also a reminder to us that even small actions, when done together with commitment and dedication, can contribute to a cleaner, healthier and sustainable community for all.

‎𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦|Recognition Day 2026: PUP General Luna Students Celebrate Achievement, Growth, and Perseverance
‎
‎PUP General Luna, Quezon Campus brings together BPA, BSBA, and BEED students in a celebration of academic excellence and the journey beyond recognition.
‎
‎September 14, 2026 — The students of the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) of PUP General Luna, Quezon Campus gathered for Recognition Day 2026, honoring students whose dedication and academic efforts earned them awards and distinctions.
‎
‎The occasion highlighted the achievements of the awardees while also recognizing the journey behind every accomplishment. Each certificate and medal represented the time, effort, challenges, and perseverance that students invested throughout their academic journey.
‎
‎However, the celebration went beyond academic recognition.
‎
‎Guest speaker Mrs. Elaine D. Resurreccion shared her personal experience and reminded students that success cannot be measured by awards and grades alone. She recalled that she did not always have the highest grades and did not receive an award during her own Recognition Day. Despite this, she continued to persevere and eventually found success in her chosen path.
‎
‎Her story served as a reminder that one moment does not define a person's future. A student who may not receive recognition today can still become a successful professional, leader, or inspiration to others in the years to come.
‎
‎Director of the PUP Mulanay and General Luna Campuses Dr. Adelia R. Roadilla also encouraged students to continue growing through a meaningful analogy of a tree. Her message emphasized that growth requires movement, choices, and the willingness to reach beyond one's present circumstances.
‎
‎Meanwhile, Councilor Myra Gunay, representing Mayor Jose Stevenson M. Sangalang, reminded the students to make meaningful use of the knowledge they gain from their education. She encouraged them not to use their knowledge solely for personal advancement but also to become partners in the continued development of their community.
‎
‎She further emphasized that every student's success is also a success shared by their family and the entire General Luna community.
‎
‎For the BPA, BSBA, and BEED students of PUP General Luna, Recognition Day serves not only as a celebration of what has been achieved but also as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with education.
‎
‎The three departments may prepare students for different paths—public service, business and management, and education—but they share a common purpose: to develop individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.
‎
‎As the students continue their respective journeys, the lessons shared during the celebration remain relevant beyond the classroom. Awards may recognize an achievement at a particular point in time, but perseverance, character, knowledge, and the willingness to keep moving forward will continue to shape the people they become.
‎
‎For today's awardees, may this recognition inspire them to aim higher. For those who were not among the awardees, may they be reminded that their journey is still unfolding and that there are many opportunities ahead.
‎
‎Perhaps in the years to come, the students of PUP General Luna will find themselves in different professions and different places—serving the public, leading organizations, building businesses, educating future generations, and giving back to the communities that helped shape them.
‎
‎Recognition may mark one chapter, but the journey continues.
‎
‎Congratulations to all the awardees and to the students of BPA, BSBA, and BEED of PUP General Luna, Quezon Campus.
‎
‎May you continue to learn, grow, and turn your education into a meaningful contribution to others.
‎
‎Padayon, PUP General Luna students.
