CLIMATE CHANGE AWARENESS SYMPOSIUM
In celebration of Environmental Awareness Month, the Science Department of GEABIS, together with the YES-O Officers and Science Club, successfully facilitated a meaningful and informative Climate Change Awareness Symposium.

This event was made possible through our partnership with the Rotary Club of Multinational Manila 3810, headed by President Mr. Raymond Balicha.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guest speakers, Mr. Manilito Mondejar and Mrs. Jocelyn S. Hernandez (Master Teacher I / YES-O Adviser).

A special thanks to Dr. Edson V. Edrosolano, PhD – School Principal, our dedicated Science Teachers, and all participants for their support and active involvement in the activity.

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) officers, together with the support of our dedicated classroom presidents and vice presidents, and our ever-helpful Kuya Rodel, joined forces for a successful Clean-Up Drive around the school grounds. 🙌

This activity aimed to promote discipline, responsibility, and environmental stewardship, reminding everyone that keeping our surroundings clean is everyone’s duty. 🌍💪

Small actions today lead to a better, cleaner tomorrow! 🌱

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) officers met with the classroom presidents and vice presidents to discuss and plan our upcoming eco-friendly competitions — the Battle of the Bottles 🧴♻️ and the Ecoparol Challenge 🎄✨!

These activities aim to promote environmental awareness, creativity, and teamwork among students by encouraging the use of recycled materials in fun and meaningful ways. 🌱

Together, we strive to make our school a model of sustainability.

ECO PAROL CHALLENGE 2025
Theme: “Green Christmas: Light of Sustainability”
Let’s light up GEABIS with creativity and care for the environment!

All GEABIS students per section (JHS & SHS) are invited to join the Eco Parol Challenge 2025!
Create your very own Eco-Friendly Parol made only from indigenous and biodegradable materials!

Submission & Display: November 10, 2025
Venue: Display in your respective classrooms
Size: Standard (2–3 feet in diameter)

Non-biodegradable materials such as plastic, foil, and Styrofoam are strictly prohibited!
Top 3 Winners from JHS and SHS will receive cash prizes (To be announced soon!)

Judging Criteria:
• Creativity and Originality – 20%
• Technical Skills and Craftsmanship – 30%
• Adherence to Theme – 20%
• Adherence to Guidelines and Mechanics – 10%
• Overall Impact and Aesthetic – 20%
