Panic attacks can be confusing as well as scary. People generally can’t predict them and there’s often no clear cause. They can happen in stressful situations but also during calm moments. Pe trivia for this week: "Basketball"

Basketball was originally played in the Philippines in 1905, according to sports columnist Manolo R. Iigo of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The fact that the first players were not boys, but girls, is even more surprising!
Basketball was introduced to the United States by American physical education teachers in the 1900s, along with other sports such as baseball and boxing.
Meanwhile, at the 1911 Manila Carnival and Athletic Meet, the first official basketball tournament for girls was held. Tondo Intermediate School won the five-team championship and therefore reigned supreme in this game.
Former POC president Julian Malonso also revealed that among the notable Filipina basketball players from this golden era were the late Aurora Quezon, President Quezon's wife, and Josefa Edralin Marcos, President Ferdinand Marcos' mother.

Art trivia for this week: "The Baclayon Church"

The Baclayon Church in Bohol is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the country. Baclayon was the Spanish Jesuit missionaries' first choice for a base, but fear of Moro marauders led them to relocate to Loboc. Baclayon became a parish only in 1717, leading the construction of the church. The church was built by 200 native laborers who gathered coral stones from the sea, cut them into blocks, and lifted them with bamboo. They used the white of around 2 million eggs to cement the blocks together. The church was finished in 1727 and was given a big bell in 1835.

Unfortunately, the Baclayon Church is one of the heritage sites in Bohol that was destroyed on October 15, 2013.
