Kaypaaba Elementary School Strengthens School Safety Through Simulation Exercise
In line with the Department of Education's commitment to providing a safe, secure, and motivating learning environment for all learners and personnel, and pursuant to DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 and the Intensification of Public Safety Operations and Preventive Measures for Oplan Balik-Eskwela SY 2026–2027, Kaypaaba Elementary School, under the leadership of Dr. Karen G. Baje, successfully conducted a School Safety Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) on July 17, 2026 in partnership with General Emilio Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station (GEA MPS) under the supervision of PMAJ Jennifer A. Cabigan, ACOP.
The simulation featured a scenario involving an unauthorized individual carrying a knife entering the school premises, allowing teachers, learners, school personnel, and law enforcement officers to practice coordinated emergency response procedures. The activity strengthened participants' preparedness, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills in ensuring the safety and security of the school community. The program also included lectures on crime prevention, and the Unified 911 Emergency Response System, further enhancing the emergency readiness of all participants.
Kaypaaba Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the GEA MPS, Barangay Kaypaaba, led by Barangay Captain Gilbert Quaicos, and the Barangay Tanod for their invaluable support and partnership in making this activity a success.
Together, we continue to build a culture of preparedness, resilience, and shared responsibility—because a safe school is a better place to learn and grow.
