READY, SET, JOURN!

Four days before the DSPC Training and Elimination round, the campus journalist of Marinduque Midwest College gather for some reminders and a dose of pep talk.

As Assistant School Paper Adviser Ms. Anjaneth R. Mayorga said, "Alisin natin sa ating bokabularyo ang salitang eliminate." This made the room erupt with cheers and applause.

Also in the short meeting were Mr. Benjie Cha, Radio Broadcasting coach; Mr. Jhon-Jhon Julao, consulting coach; and Ms. Willa Maglalang, SPA.

Mrs. Helen Lineses, principal, is overall head of the campus journalism team.

GASAN DAY 2026

Marinduque Midwest College proudly joined the celebration of Gasan Day 2026, commemorating the 417th Founding Anniversary of Gasan.

The Midwest Marching Band proudly led the parade, joined by the participating barangays of Antipolo, Dili, Bahi, Masiga, Pangi, Bangbang, Tabionan, Bachao, Libtangin, Mangiliol, Pinggan, Banot, Bacong-Bacong, and Dawis.

A celebration of unity, heritage, and community pride, made more meaningful as Barangay Dili, home of Marinduque Midwest College, took part in this momentous occasion.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

The Philippine Statistics Quiz is opening its doors once again to "all first-time, first-year Filipino college students enrolled for the 2026-2027 Academic Year in any Philippine tertiary institution the student is representing."

According to the PSA website, each contestant shall have one coach. The contestants and coaches must be officially endorsed by the Head of their academic institution.

Regional Championships: 14 October 2026
National Finals: 06 November 2026

In 2025, MMC was represented by Mr. Hans Recto and Ms. Dheniza Sadicon. Mr. Gerald Mataya served as coach.

Interested individuals may sign up with the College Department office.

MARCH TO THE BEAT OF YOUR OWN DRUM

It is said that to be happy, we need to allow ourselves the little things that make us smile and feel light.

We may not be good in twirling the baton or tuning the glockenspiel, but we sure can dance in our giddy way.

THE HEART OF GASAN SINCE 1892: SAINT JOSEPH SPOUSE OF MARY PARISH CHURCH

Since its establishment as a pueblo in 1609, Gasenos have been staunch supporters of Roman Catholism.

Roughly 87% of its current population are Catholics; this translates to over 30,000 people.

At the center of this deep devotion is the Saint Joseph Spouse of Mary Parish Church which.served as a watchtower during the Spanish colonial period. After the town's chapels burned, the church was constructed in 1892. Renovation was done in recent years.

May Saint Joseph always protect and bless the town of Gasan!

Nakikiisa ang Marinduque Midwest College, ang kauna-unahang private school sa ating bayan, sa pagdiriwang ng ika-417 na anibersaryo ng pagkatatag ng Gasan sa Agosto 20, 2026.

Bilang kontribusyon natin sa kaganapan bukas, ang Midwest Marching Band ang siyang mangunguna sa parada.
