Bangbang National High School (BNHS) successfully held its annual Intramural Meet yesterday, August 15, 2026, showcasing high-caliber athleticism, camaraderie, and vibrant school spirit across the campus grounds.

Student-athletes from various year levels delivered thrilling performances in standard sports disciplines, while the school also paid homage to Filipino culture by integrating traditional Palaro ng Lahi into the day's highlights.

Anchored on the theme "Champions in Sports, Values in Life: Building Champions to Win Life's Challenges," the event emphasized character development, discipline, and core values alongside competitive spirit.

✨ CREATIVITY & SUSTAINABILITY IN ACTION: Grade 10 MAPEH Performance Task ✨

The Grade 10 students successfully conducted their performance task in MAPEH, focusing on the topic Creativity within Philippine Creative Industries.

The activity featured:
🎨 Art Exhibit – Various art forms showcasing deep expression and rich Filipino culture.

👗♻️ Eco-Fashion Design – Unique and creative attire crafted from recycled materials, demonstrating our students' ingenuity and commitment to environmental care.

This successful event was led by Mrs. Jorgette S. Hizole, MAPEH teacher, together with the MAPEH Department and MAPEH Club, under the guidance of Mrs. Leah Nessa M. Ornedo.

This activity aims to nurture the students' talents while advocating for sustainable creativity in the fields of art and fashion.

BUILDING FOR A SAFER AND BETTER FUTURE! 🏗️🏫

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING AND EVACUATION CENTER AT BANGBANG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Construction is currently underway for the new Multi-Purpose Building and Evacuation Center (Phase 2) at Bangbang National High School in Barangay Bangbang, Gasan, Marinduque, which officially started in the month of June.

According to information from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Marinduque District Engineering Office, the project has an allocated budget of ₱9,205,955.04 sourced from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) FY 2026.

The project aims to provide a safe and well-equipped facility that will serve both the students and the entire community, particularly during calamities and disasters.

Key details of the project include:

Project: Basic Infrastructure Program (BIP) - Construction of Multi-Purpose Building (Evacuation Center)

Location: Bangbang National High School, Brgy. Bangbang, Gasan, Marinduque
Start of Construction: June 2026
Target Completion Date: December 13, 2026
Contractor: Skyscraper Construction and Engineering Services

Maligayang Buwan ng ASEAN!🇵🇭🤝

Kaisa ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ng buong bansa sa pagtataguyod ng pagkakaisa, kapayapaan, at kaunlaran sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng ASEAN ngayong Agosto.

Ngayong 2026, buong karangalang pinamumunuan ng Pilipinas ang ASEAN bitbit ang temang "Navigating our Future, Together". Sa mahalagang okasyong ito, kinikilala ng DepEd ang malaking ambag ng ASEAN sa pagpapalakas ng edukasyon sa rehiyon.

Sama-sama nating hubugin ang isang mas maliwanag at matatag na kinabukasan para sa kabataang Pilipino at sa buong Timog-Silangang Asya!

📍Bangbang NHS Holds Joint PTA, SGC Oath-Taking and Anti-Bullying Orientation

In a solid display of commitment to school governance and student welfare, Bangbang National High School (BNHS) successfully conducted the Joint Oath-Taking Ceremony and Orientation for its newly elected School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), Homeroom PTA, and School Governance Council (SGC) officers last July 10, 2026, at 3:30 PM.

The institutional event was led and facilitated by the school's top administration and key council members, headed by School Principal and Overall SGC Chairperson Mrs. Norminda S. Mabao, alongside PTA Secretary Mrs. Daiserie L. Furto and Former SGC Co-Chairperson Mrs. Lina M. Octavio.

A major highlight of the afternoon was the comprehensive orientation on school policies concerning non-bullying offenses and their corresponding punishments, which was discussed by Ms. Jelie Ann Jalac, the SSLG Coordinator. The briefing aimed to equip both parents and newly inducted officers with a thorough understanding of the school's child protection protocols, ensuring a safe, peaceful, and nurturing learning environment for all students.

The administration extended its warmest congratulations to the new roster of leaders who took their pledge of commitment, spearheaded by incoming SPTA President Irene S. Acuzar, elected SGC Co-Chairperson Mr. Rowel Marasigan, Designated SGC Chairperson Dr. Gueller Dee V. Salazar, and SGC Secretary Mrs. Marites S. Sena.

With the new student-centered leadership officially in place, Bangbang National High School looks forward to a stronger, more proactive partnership between the home and the school community for the holistic success of every young Bangbangnians.

📢 Mahalagang Paanyaya sa Lahat ng mga Magulang at Opisyales Sama-sama Tayo Para sa Ligtas at Mas Maayos na Paaralan

Ang Bangbang National High School ay malugod na nag-aanyaya sa lahat ng School PTA Officers, Homeroom PTA Officers, mga Magulang, at mga Stakeholders na dumalo sa ating School PTA and Homeroom PTA Officers Oathtaking Ceremony kasabay ng General Orientation on Non-Bullying Offenses and Punishments.

Ang gawaing ito ay hindi lamang para sa panunumpa ng ating mga opisyal ng PTA, kundi upang higit pang mapalakas ang ating pagkakaisa sa pagtataguyod ng isang ligtas, disiplinado, at bullying-free na paaralan. Sa pamamagitan ng orientation, magkakaroon ng mas malinaw na pag-unawa ang lahat sa mga probisyon ng Anti-Bullying Policy, mga paglabag, at kaukulang pananagutan upang sama-sama nating maprotektahan ang kapakanan ng bawat mag-aaral.

🌿 SPEAK UP FOR FORESTS: Youth, The Hope of Nature! 🌲

A successful and meaningful afternoon took place yesterday, June 24, 2026, at Bangbang National High School Library during the ENVInitiatives: Environmental Lecture. This event is in line with the celebration of Philippine Environment Month, World Environment Day, and Philippine Arbor Day 2026.

This highly beneficial symposium was led and successfully organized in collaboration with representatives from the DENR Regional Office (DENR RO) and DENR PENRO Marinduque, who generously shared their time and expertise to guide our students.

From 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, student leaders from various groups—including Grade 10 Classroom Student Leaders, SSLG Officers, and Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts of the Philippines (BSP/GSP) representatives—gathered to participate in a series of discussions aimed at promoting the protection of our one and only home.

The program kicked off with a warm welcome from Ms. Alexandra Valencia (Student President), followed by an inspirational message from For. Edelito Zoilo C. Edralinda (Supervising Ecosystems Management Specialist, DENR PENRO Marinduque).

Ms. Jayhne Moeritz B. Escanier (OIC-Chief, Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group - DENR RO) shared the vital importance of collective youth action for the environment.

Tayo Ang Kalikasan Program 🌱

A comprehensive discussion on the DENR advocacy campaign, led by Ms. Minerva C. Capara (Forester I, Technical Services Division).

Blooming into Action: Youth Leadership for a Sustainable Future 🌸

Ms. Janice D. Belen (Information Officer I / Tayo Ang Kalikasan Focal Person) emphasized how the youth can become active leaders for a greener and more sustainable future.

Following the series of lectures, everyone gathered for a Photo Opportunity before heading home, equipped with new knowledge and a renewed commitment to the environment.

A huge thank you to the DENR Regional Office and DENR PENRO Marinduque for bringing these crucial advocacies to our school! Our student leaders have proven that they are ready to be the voice and strength for our forests and our environment. 💚
