RESUMPTION OF CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE)

According to DOST-PAGASA's latest advisory, the Province of Camarines Sur is no longer under Yellow Rainfall Warning Level. As such, please be informed that classes at all levels (public and private) will resume today, February 11, 2025.

However, Local Chief Executives and School Heads have the discretion to implement localized class suspensions based on a thorough assessment of conditions in their respective localities.

SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE)

Based on PAGASA Southern Luzon's latest Heavy Rainfall Warning, the Yellow Warning Level is in effect in the Province of Camarines Sur due to the Shearline. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to persist, posing threats of flooding in low-lying areas and near river channels, as well as landslides in landslide-prone areas. Additionally, sea conditions are rough, making travel by small seacraft hazardous.

In light of these conditions, face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private) are suspended today, February 10, 2025, until lifted. Schools shall implement modular distance learning, performance tasks, projects, or make-up classes in accordance with their Learning and Service Continuity Plan.

The public and Local DRRM Councils are strongly advised to remain vigilant and to closely monitor official weather updates and advisories in their respective areas.

As per instruction of the PDRRMC Chairperson, the provincewide suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private, is officially lifted except for schools that are still affected by flooding and are not yet cleared for safe attendance. School heads in these affected areas will be responsible for providing updates and determining when it is safe for students to return.

We urge those in impacted areas to prioritize safety and follow updates from your local authorities regarding road conditions and accessibility.

All classes in both public and private schools will remain suspended tomorrow, September 3, 2024.

Classes suspended, Sept. 2, 2024 until lifted.

As such, in adherence to PDRRMC Resolution No. 008, series of 2024, the undersigned hereby directs all concerned of the following:

1. 24/7 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the LGU is hereby ACTIVATED;

2.Hereunder Response Clusters are ACTIVATED, to wit;
1.Evacuation MDRRMO
2.Health MHO
3.CCCM MSWDO
PNP

4.Search, Rescue and RETRIEVAL

3. No Sailing Policy is hereby implemented. All fisherfolks are prohibited from sailing or venturing into the open sea. All are prohibited to engage from any water activities such as swimming, island hopping and the like.

4.Classes in all levels both private and public in the AOR are hereby suspended until lifted.

5.Work in LGU-Garchitorena is hereby suspended. Resumption of work will be announced once the weather status improved through the Office of the HRMO. Suspension of work in other offices, schools, National Government Agencies, and private offices and companies are highly encouraged however left to the discretion of their respective heads.

All offices involved in the above cited EOC and Response Clusters shall maintain the operations to ensure the continuity of public service in the municipality.

MEMORANDUM TO ALL MAYORS/ LDRRMC CHAIRPERSONS/ BARANGAY CAPTAINS/ BDRRMC CHAIRPERSON/ SCHOOL HEADS – PUBLIC AND PRIVATE

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES FOR ELEMENTARY & HIGH SCHOOL (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE), COLLEGE AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (PUBLIC)

The province of Camarines Sur is currently experiencing moderate to heavy rains. In anticipation of a possible intensification of weather conditions that could lead to potential hazards such as localized flooding due to thunderstorms and difficult transport conditions, classes in elementary and junior high schools in both public and private institutions, as well as in college and senior high school in public schools, are suspended tomorrow, August 19, 2024. The suspension of classes for colleges and senior high schools under private institutions is left to the discretion of their respective management.

The suspension of classes is a precautionary measure to ensure that students and staff are not caught in worsening conditions as the rain can be a precursor to a more severe weather condition.
