Long may they reignβ the feminine souls of the world that remain.
How each petal of a flower signifies a virtue that represents what a woman can do. The world grows brighter with each passing day, as the modern-day provides a fertile ground for women of substance to thrive, allowing their voices to reverberate hundreds of speeches that continue to influence generations.
Women's Month is not just a tribute but a moment to reflect and build a future in which women thrive inside the garden of our society. Each lady is diverse and gracefully stands out back and forth like a flower
With every generation and decade, there's always a big change and Filipino women have flourished in excellence over these decades. Consider Leni Robredo, who served as the 14th Vice President of the Philippines, or Hidilyn Diaz, the first Olympic gold medalists, who not only lifted weights but also lifted dreams.
Yet, beyond the pile of roses, lies a column of thorns. Women have been continuously labeled as the βweakerβ genderβ viewed differently by men, expected either to serve or be deemed futile. If a woman places her trust in the society, she is labeled as obedient. However, if the society places its trust in women, it will be seen as taking a risk.
If only the world could turn in their favor for all eternity.
These women of substance, along with countless others, are standing statues of inclusivity, resilience, strength, and leadership, showing us that excellence is not limited by gender. A woman is a flower that inspires her peers to oppose stereotypes and prove that value is defined not by beauty and conformity but by strength or ambitions.
As Women's Month comes about, let us not only celebrate their achievements but also strive forward toward a promised tomorrow where every woman can excel without limitations.
