I used to think I had to keep my child busy so I could get things done.

But sometimes the whining was not about needing more entertainment.

It was about wanting connection.

A small job.

A place beside me.

A way to feel included.

Parenting is not always about creating perfect moments.

Sometimes it is letting them stand next to you in the middle of the ordinary ones. 💛

LEARNING BEGINS AT HOME 🏠

In times when our communities are confronted by violence and tragedy involving the young, we are reminded that education does not begin only in the classroom. The home is the first school of life, where values are formed, faith is nurtured, and compassion is learned.

Parents, guardians, families, educators, and communities all share the responsibility of guiding the next generation. Alongside academic learning, our youth must also encounter love, understanding, discipline, and hope within their homes and communities.

As Sacred Scripture reminds us:

“Train the young in the way they should go; even when old, they will not swerve from it.” —Proverbs 22:6

Let us pray for our youth. Let us also foster them with love, understanding, and care, so that our homes may become places where faith, character, and respect for life are first learned.

Posting this for awareness. Let’s continue advocating for sports and supporting programs that build discipline, character, and a better future for our youth. Sports can change lives. 🇵🇭🥊

In light of the tragic incident at Ateneo de Zamboanga, my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. May they find strength, and may justice prevail. 🙏

Wow

Scientists captured the moment a star was born.

Astronomers have unlocked a breathtaking view of star birth by training three world-class telescopes on HH 30, a protoplanetary disk located about 450 light-years away in the Ta**us Molecular Cloud.

Recognized by the European Space Agency as the quintessential textbook example of a disk seen edge-on, HH 30’s central newborn star remains completely hidden behind a thick, dark band of cosmic dust. However, its brilliant light leaks out above and below this shadowy equator, illuminating spectacular jets of gas spewing into interstellar space.

To map this cosmic cradle, researchers combined infrared data from the James Webb Space Telescope, visible light from the Hubble Space Telescope, and radio-wavelength observations from the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array in Chile. Together, these observations tracked how dust grains of various sizes behave within the disk. While Webb revealed that tiny, bacteria-sized grains are widely scattered, ALMA showed that larger, millimeter-sized grains are concentrated in a thin seam along the central plane. This precise settling of dust is a crucial evolutionary step, creating the high-density environment where cosmic pebbles can clump together to form new planets.
