๐ MANAGEMENT REVIEW MEETING 2026
Northern Iloilo State University | Quality Assurance Office
โReview. Reflect. Improve. Sustain Quality.โ
The Northern Iloilo State University (NISU), through the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), conducted its Management Review Meeting (MRM) on September 28, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon at the NISU Mini-Theater, Estancia, Iloilo.
The Management Review Meeting served as an important platform for the Universityโs leadership and key personnel to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and determine appropriate actions toward continual improvement.
The meeting began with a look backโthe status of actions from previous Management Reviews, led by University President Dr. Raffy B. Chavez. From there, the discussion moved toward the Changes in External and Internal Issues Relevant to the QMS, presented by QAO University Director Ms. Julie Anne May A. Malones.
The University reviewed the performance and effectiveness of its QMS, beginning with customer satisfaction and feedback from relevant interested parties, presented by OSAS Campus Directors Mr. Mark Anthony P. Lopez, Mr. Rodel P. Sepanton, and Ms. Maybel C. Francisco.
The extent to which the quality objectives have been achieved was then discussed by Dr. Gilda E. Deguma, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The discussion continued with the performance of processes and conformity of products and services, bringing together the Universityโs Deans:
๐ Dr. Ma. Xerxa Doan P. Billones-Franco โ College of Education

Then came another essential part of the quality journeyโrecognizing what needs attention and what can still be improved.
The QA Campus Directors, namely Dr. Ariette A. De Asis, Engr. Elvie A. Cabanlit, and Engr. Jomar A. Dador, presented matters concerning nonconformities and corrective actions across the campuses.
The meeting also examined monitoring and measurement results, followed by the presentation of audit results from ISO Lead Auditors Ms. Hazel Kaye V. Longno. The performance of external providers and adequacy of resources was likewise discussed by Dr. Mylene B. Estebal.
The University reviewed the effectiveness of actions taken to address risks and opportunities, with Dr. Gilda E. Deguma and Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo taking part in the discussion.
Finally, the meeting turned toward the future.
Under the Management Review Outputs, the University considered opportunities for improvement, possible changes to the Quality Management System, and resource needs, with University President Dr. Raffy B. Chavez leading this part of the discussion, before proceeding to other matters.
The Management Review Meeting was more than a review of reports and results. It was a moment to pause, look at where NISU stands, recognize what has been accomplished, identify what needs attention, and determine what can be done better.
With the collective efforts of the Top Management, Heads of Offices, Quality Assurance Office, QA Campus Directors, OSAS Campus Directors, Deans, ISO Lead Auditors, and other key personnel, NISU continues to strengthen its commitment to a culture of quality, accountability, and continual improvement.
Together, we review.
Together, we improve.
Together, we move NISU forward. ๐๐
