𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗖𝗢𝗠 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

To welcome new students and mark the official start of Academic Year 2026–2027, students, faculty members, college dean, and department chairpersons from the College of Management (COM) convened for an orientation program today, August 14, at the NISU Main Campus Gymnasium.

The event commenced with the annual COM Freshmen Walk, ushering incoming first-year students with a fun twist of the viral brazilian dance.

In her opening message, Dr. Maria Kristina C. Ortiz, Dean of the College of Management (COM), highlighted how the college connects through one heart, inspires through one goal, and continue to lead the students through a one college community.

Moreover, Dr. Vimenrose Clariza-Samuel, Campus Administrator, underscored the significance of embracing ones opinions and convictions as one of the values each NISUnian should uphold.

“Starting this school year, let us promote inclusivity, camaraderie, and oneness across the campuses of Northern Iloilo State University,” Dr. Clariza-Samuel said.

The program proceeded with the presentation of COM’s faculty and staff, followed by discussions on essential student topics, including campus organizations, activities, guidance and counseling, campus safety, academic policies, registration procedures, and the vision, mission, goals, and objectives (VMGO) of NISU and COM, as well as college rules and regulations.

Following the discussions, the official COM uniforms were presented to the students.

Instructor Gellie Mae B. Iran formally closed the program, and the event concluded with a festive community dance.

Carrying the theme “UGYON: One Heart, One Goal, One COM,” the orientation aimed to foster camaraderie, build strong connections, and bridge the gap among students, faculty, and administration.

It is with great joy and excitement that we present the dedicated and hardworking officers of the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 2𝗗. 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗨 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼 𝗜𝗗, 𝗡𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗡𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆

Students without prescribed uniforms and official identification (ID) cards will not be allowed to enter Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Main Campus following the implementation of a “No ID, No Uniform, No Entry” policy.

Issued by the Office of the Campus Administrator through Memorandum No. 13, series of 2026, the memorandum requires all students to wear prescribed university uniforms and official identification (ID) cards beginning August 3 to promote discipline, professionalism, and campus security.

Under the directive, students are required to wear universal uniform every Monday and Friday, while department uniform shall be worn every Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday has been designated as Wash Day, allowing students to wear department shirts.

Meanwhile, the memorandum provides an exception for students under the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program. Due to the nature of their hospital-related duties, Midwifery students are required to wear their universal uniform every Wednesday, while their clinical or departmental uniforms shall be worn every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Furthermore, to ensure compliance, security personnel have been authorized to inspect student identification cards and uniforms upon entry and, whenever necessary, while inside the campus for the consistent implementation of the “No ID, No Uniform, No Entry” policy.
