It is with profound sadness that the Bayas National High School family mourns the passing of our beloved alumna, Layka Mae Cortez.

Layka will always be remembered for her perseverance, kindness, and the bright smile that touched the hearts of many. Her journey and achievements remain a source of inspiration to our students, teachers, and the entire school community.

Though her life was far too short, her legacy will continue to live on in the halls of Bayas National High School and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

When Schools Pause, Service Continues. 📚

While the school grounds may have been quieter today, the commitment of Bayas National High School teachers remained as strong as ever.

In response to the suspension of in-person classes, our dedicated teaching force immediately embraced Learning Continuity Practices to ensure that every learner remained guided, supported, and connected.

Teachers reached out to learners through available communication platforms, providing clear instructions on how to accomplish their learning packets, answering questions, and checking on their well-being and learning status. Beyond delivering lessons, they made sure that every learner felt seen, heard, and encouraged despite the distance.

At the same time, our school personnel convened through a Virtual Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session cm Conference, strengthening collaboration, sharing updates, and planning responsive interventions to sustain quality learning amid unforeseen circumstances. This gathering reaffirmed that while classrooms may temporarily close, our commitment to education never does.

Learning continuity is not simply about providing activity sheets—it is about ensuring that guidance continues, communication remains open, and no learner is left behind.

To our resilient learners, supportive parents and guardians, and selfless teachers, thank you for proving that education is not limited by walls, weather, or circumstances. It flourishes wherever there are people who choose to teach, learn, and care.

At Bayas National High School, every challenge becomes another opportunity to serve. Because classes may be suspended, but our mission to educate continues—one learner, one family, and one act of service at a time.

Every Effort Counts in the Fight Against Dengue

Bayas National High School commends the Oplan Kontra Dengue initiative of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ma. Angelica Bianca Requinto-Espinosa, a proactive campaign that underscores the importance of collective action in safeguarding the health and well-being of every Estancianon.

The successful implementation of this initiative, through the dedicated efforts of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Sir Kevin Palad, serves as a timely reminder that dengue prevention begins with each one of us. Maintaining clean surroundings, eliminating stagnant water, and promoting awareness are simple yet powerful ways to protect our families and communities.

Bayas National High School expresses its sincere appreciation to Mayor Ma. Angelica Bianca Requinto-Espinosa and the MDRRMO for championing this meaningful cause. May this initiative continue to inspire everyone to remain vigilant and work together in creating a healthier, safer, and dengue-free Estancia.

📢 OFFICIAL ADVISORY | BAYAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

In view of the Red Rainfall Warning and the prevailing rough sea conditions, and based on the school's actual assessment prioritizing the safety and welfare of our learners, personnel, and stakeholders, all in-person classes at Bayas National High School are hereby suspended effective immediately until further notice.

Despite the suspension of face-to-face classes, learning continues through the implementation of our Education in Emergencies (EiE) measures.

📚 To our dear learners and parents/guardians:
- Learners are advised to accomplish the assigned activities in their Learning Packets/Activity Sheets.
- Parents and learners are requested to submit a collage of photo documentations showing the learner accomplishing the assigned tasks at home through the official class group chat.
- Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise and support their children while ensuring their safety throughout this period.

👩‍🏫 To all teaching personnel:
- Immediately communicate this advisory to all learners and parents through your official class group chats and other available communication platforms.
- Continue monitoring the participation, safety, and well-being of your learners while maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians.
- Keep the necessary records and monitoring reports for submission upon the resumption of regular classes.

💻 ATTENTION: ALL TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL

A Virtual Conference will be held today at 1:00 PM via the school's designated online platform. Attendance is mandatory as important updates, emergency response measures, and operational concerns regarding the implementation of the Education in Emergencies (EiE) program will be discussed.

The resumption of face-to-face classes will be announced through the official communication channels of Bayas National High School once weather and sea conditions have been assessed as safe.
