ABANG 209037 Abang Primary School, Esperanza District III, Sultan Kudarat Division, was formally opened last June 6, 2011. Reynaldo S. Their tribal leader is Eddie U. Abang.

Abang Primary School was formally opened last June 6, 2011 under the initiative and supervision of Mr. Souribio, the former district supervisor of Esperanza District III. The name of the school came from the family name of the donor named Eddie U. Abang who donated the school site located at Sitio Bolitikon, Salumping, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. It is inhabited by mix tribes such as: Manobo-Dulang

an, T’duray, Ilonggo, Cebuano and Antiqueño. Major dialects spoken are Manobo and Antiqueño. The school site situated in Sitio Bolitikon, Salumping, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat is covered by the Presidential assistance on National Minorities (PANAMIN) as reservation area for the Indigenous/tribal peoples belonging to the Manobo-Dulangan and T’duray Tribe. The Manobos and T’durays were the first settlers of the place. The first and lone teacher assigned during the opening of the school was Ms. Cherrilyn M. Golingay. As of now, there are three (4) regular teachers in Abang Primary School including the school head. One teacher is handling Kindergarten, the other one is handling grades I and II and the other teacher is handling grades III and IV. Mr. Ricky V. Lorca is the newly-appointed teacher in-charge effective last October 13, 2014 handling Grade V class. Despite of multi-task, with the supervision of the teacher in-charge, all projects, programs and activities of the school are successfully done and implemented. The school has three (3) temporary classrooms made up of round wood, bamboo and cogon. It is a project of Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) to cater the needs of the school children and made realized through the PTA contributions and counterpart with the barangay funds. The school has no access to good transportation though it could be reach by motorcycles and big vehicles like forwards or dump trucks during dry seasons but mostly by horse riding during rainy seasons.
