VAWC Program and Campaign | December 10

Cervantes National High School conducted the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Program and Campaign on December 10, aimed at raising awareness and promoting advocacy against all forms of abuse. The activity was organized by GAD Focal Person Ma’am Cheryl Alquiza.

Students actively participated in various creative contests that highlighted the importance of respect, equality, and protection of women and children. The event featured a Poster Making Contest by Renz Sipalay (Grade 12 – Yanong), a powerful Spoken Poetry performance by Angel Julie Abong (Grade 11 – De Leon), and a Video-Making Contest participated in by Grade 12 – Yanong students.

The program served as a strong reminder of the school’s commitment to advocacy, education, and social responsibility.

As part of the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Campaign of Cervantes National High School, a Symposium on Reproductive Health was conducted to educate and empower students with essential knowledge on health, safety, and responsible decision-making. The symposium was led by Ms. Claudine C. Velchez, who shared valuable insights and encouraged open discussion on reproductive health concerns.

The activity reinforced the school’s commitment to promoting awareness, respect, and informed choices among learners.

Cervantes National High School successfully held Family Day 2025 at the school Covered Court last December 9, bringing together students, parents, and teachers for a day of fun and meaningful bonding. The event featured engaging activities that strengthened family ties and promoted unity within the school community. The celebration was organized by Ma’am Isily Bayawa, whose efforts helped make the event joyful and memorable for everyone.
