From the smoke of the Great War rise the rulers of the sky, the sea, and the soul. Behold the 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬! Every blessing they give comes with a price you cannot afford to pay ⚜️🌟

But gold always flakes off! Shouting always ends in gasps and everything that goes up must come down. The Shadows are finally home! The judgement of your soul in the 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 is in session 🌑⚖️

The nightmares the gods created to keep us in our places. This is going to get messy. Can you feel their 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 breaths now? Pick a side ⚔️☠️

Cruel yet deep. On the other side of the door though have names you can’t pronounce. They were here when the universe was only a cold, violent mess. The 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐬 are here 🌄🌟

The Linguistic Society of the Philippines (LSP), a premier organization dedicated to the study and advancement of linguistics and language education in the country, held its 8th Linguistic Society of the Philippines Conference at West Visayas State University with the theme “Charting Future-Proof Paths in Linguistics and Language Education.” The conference took place from April 23–25, 2026.

On Day 1 of the conference, Prof. Ma. Kaela Joselle Madrunio, together with Dr. Rachelle Ballesteros Lintao, discussed in the Special Panel on Migration Linguistics their paper entitled “Linguistic Constructions of Migrant Identity in the Alice and Sheila Guo Senate Hearings within a Global South Context.”

Camille Angel Cachola of BEE III-3 presented her paper, “AI in the Classroom: Exploring Teachers’ Perceptions on the Use of AI-Generated Images,” during Day 2 of the conference in a concurrent session.

These accomplishments highlight the active participation of our academic community in research-driven platforms and underscore the vital role of linguistics and language education in understanding societal issues, shaping inclusive communication, and preparing future educators for an evolving global landscape.
