For transparency and clarity, we would like to clarify the terminology used during the announcement of the winners.
The emcee initially used the term “Runner-Up” because this was the terminology indicated on the prize cheques prepared for the awarding.
During the announcement, the Board of Judges clarified that the proper terminology for the rankings was “Placer,” and the emcee immediately followed their instruction.
We emphasize that the official rankings were based solely on the scores reflected in the official tabulation of the Board of Judges. The terminology used during the announcement did not affect, alter, or change the scores or the final ranking of any participating contingent.
For the avoidance of doubt, the emcee did not tamper with, modify, or interfere with the results. She simply followed the terminology indicated on the prepared prize cheques and immediately complied when the Board of Judges provided the clarification.
The results published above therefore reflect the official and final placement of all six participating festivals.
Moving forward, our heartfelt gratitude to our Festival Researchers:
✨ Sir Arvin Magpiong
✨ Sir Mart Caulawon
✨ Sir Clifford Jack Tuastomban
Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge, research, insights, and understanding of our festivals and cultural heritage. Your contribution helped our contingents better appreciate and embody the stories and meanings behind the festivals they represented.
To Sir Ronn Mark Dimagnaong, daghang salamat kaayo for sharing your knowledge and expertise with our contingents, and especially for helping bring back the Solili—a beautiful cultural element that added meaning, tradition, and authenticity to the celebration.
To Department of Education-Division of Siquijor headed by Dr. Rosalie Pasaol, thank you for the support specifically for allowing each LGU participating team to use classrooms where they can rest and prepare for the Festival of Festivals 2026.
To RAD Creatives, thank you for your time, creativity, and dedication in helping us create the graphics and visual materials for the event. Your support helped bring the celebration to life beyond the stage.
To our Board of Judges, thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, expertise, and careful judgment in helping make this celebration meaningful and credible.
And to our ever-reliable emcee, Sakura Marie, thank you for always saying YES and for continuously lending your time and talent to the events of the office. ❤️
Please know that the terminology used during the initial announcement was not your fault. You were simply following what was written on the prepared prize cheques. When the Board of Judges clarified the proper terminology, you immediately followed their instruction. Thank you for handling the moment with professionalism, composure, and grace.
Above all, salamat kaayo to all our contingents, performers, choreographers, trainers, researchers, production teams, municipal governments, supporters, and Siquijodnons who made this celebration possible.
Six festivals. Six stories. One heritage. One Siquijor.
