Our ECNHS teachers learned the signs for the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas with our resource speaker, Ma’am Shirlyn S. Roa.

Beyond learning the signs, we are building our FSL skills to communicate more effectively with Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners, promote accessibility, and create a classroom where everyone can participate and belong. 🤟💙

Our ECNHS teachers actively learned the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) rendition of the Philippine National Anthem with our resource speaker for today, Ma’am Tin Amoncio.

More than learning the signs, this meaningful session reminds us that patriotism should be accessible to everyone. 🇵🇭🤟 Through FSL, we continue to build a school community where communication creates connection and every learner can participate, express, and belong.

El Salvador City National High School successfully conducted its 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 with the theme, “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘪𝘥."

The 2-day professional learning activity provided meaningful opportunities for our teaching and non-teaching personnel to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence in Filipino Sign Language (FSL), inclusive communication, and Psychological First Aid (PFA)—equipping us to better understand, support, and respond to the diverse needs of our learners and school community.
