On July 29, 2026, the ISU-Cagayan Valley Small Ruminant Research Center through the ISU- ATBI and STCBF on Duck Production Project hosted a Research Forum, bringing together sharp young minds across borders to bridge livestock innovation and practical farm management.
Delegates from the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia) joined forces with alumni from Isabela State University (Philippines) to share ground-breaking findings that could reshape regional animal agriculture.
The forum highlighted the following research topics:
Session 1. Unleashing the Potential of Itik Mojosari: Indonesiaโs high performing duck,
Session 2: Effect of Organic Multivitamin Supplementation to Broiler, and
Session 3: Documentation of Anthelmintic Resistance of cattle and goats in Echague, Isabela.
Dr. Mark Langtiwan, the College of Agricultureโs Research Coordinator, reminded the participants that research is an important part of their academic development, and that by attending forum, they can identify research gaps, methodologies, and topics as they develop their thesis proposal.
This forum is organized as part of the project, Integrated Strengthening Poultry Farming Systems and Egg Processing Technology for Rural Economic Development collaboration between Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia, and Isabela State University, Philippines.
