The Protein Chemistry and Biosensor Lab would like to congratulate Florie Querubin for bagging the 2nd BEST PAPER Award in the recently concluded CVAARD Regional Symposium held virtually last November 9&10.

Ms. Florie Querubin, together with her colleagues, Saul M. Rojas, James Kennard S. Jacob, and Jose B. Abucay, Jr, faculty members and researchers of ISU-Echague, presented their paper on ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF ANTIBIOTIC-PRODUCING MARINE BACTERIA FROM STA.ANA, CAGAYAN, which aims to develop potential antimicrobials from the secondary metabolites from the isolated marine bacteria. The group is hopeful that they will be able to continue the process through the usual support of the university's research and development unit and become their stepping stone towards a bigger project.
