Canabay Elementary School conducted Parents Orientation about the ARAL Program last September 15, 2025.
The orientation aims to acquaint pupils and parents about Academic Recovery and Accessible learning, (ARAL) as a Reading Program. It is a nationwide project of the Department of Education (Deped), formulated to improve Reading Proficiency. Ferdinand D. Mejia the School head of Canabay E/S spearheaded the Program with the cooperation and support of all its workforce.

The Canabay E/S wishes to extend its congratulatory message to our young journalist for their remarkable achievements at the recently concluded District press Conference held at the Dupax Central School. The student-campus journalists aced in their corresponding writing categories and ranked among the promising journalists in the District level. They are as follows:

Canabay Elementary School celebrated Buwan ng Wika on August 4, 2025. The program aimed to motivate and inspire every student to actively utilize Filipino, the country's national Language.
The activity was spearheaded by the school head of CANES and accompanied by the PTA President ,Teachers, and Students.

The activity revolved around the theme: "Paglinang sa Filipino at sa Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa". As such, the main part of the program focused on showcasing the national symbols reflective of Filipino values and the Filipino identity.

The activity comprise of an opening program initiated by Mam Verginia Buroy and several intermission offered by selected CANES students. The program concluded with Sir Ferdinand D.Mejia, the school head, motivating learners to use and value their native language everyday.

Canabay E/S appreciates the visit from our diligent Public schools' district supervisor of Dupax del Sur, Mam Lina PAl-ec for the monthly conduct of Monitoring Instructional Supervision and Technical Assistance (MISTAH) with a heart. MISTAH aims to provide valuable insights and comments on teacher's effectiveness in teaching and provide timely intervention as needed among low emerging students in public schools.

In reinforcing this DepEd program and intervention, Mam Lina together with the Canabay ES School Head, Sir Ferdinand Mejia paid a visit to a grade 3 teacher then cited comments and suggestions towards his teaching efficacy. Mam Lina and Sir Ferdinand commended his performance and all the other teachers who did a demonstration of the skills they earned from seminars and advaced studies degrees during the past months.

Lastly, Canabay ES extends its deepest gratitude towards Mam Lina for her presence and citing potential program intervention for low emerging learners to help boost their reading readiness and comprehension through ARAL Program.

The conduct of constant and timely programs through MISTAH and ARAL attests to DepED's commitment to improving learner's literacies and teacher's effectiveness in the delivery of instruction.
