Bakit maraming Pilipino ang bumabagsak sa EPS-TOPIK?

Minsan akala natin ang dahilan ay:

"Mahina ako sa Korean."

Pero sa mga taon na nagturo ako ng EPS-TOPIK, bihira akong makakita ng bumagsak dahil kulang sa talino.

Mas madalas...

bumabagsak sila dahil sinusubukan nilang maghanda para sa Korea habang dala-dala pa rin ang pagod, responsibilidad, at problema dito sa Pilipinas.

❌ 1. Pagod na sila bago pa man magbukas ng reviewer.

May mga estudyante akong:

galing construction

galing factory

galing bukid

galing 12-hour shift

Pag-uwi sa bahay, hindi Korean vocabulary ang kalaban.

Antok.

Pagod.

Responsibilidad.

Kaya minsan ang pinakamahirap na bahagi ng pagre-review ay hindi ang exam.

Kundi ang pagbukas ulit ng reviewer pagkatapos ng mahabang araw.

❌ 2. Maraming reviewer. Walang sistema.

May PDF.

May YouTube.

May app.

May Facebook group.

May notes.

May screenshots.

May screenshots ng screenshots.

😅

Pero kapag tinanong:

"Ano ang aaralin mo ngayong linggo?"

Hindi sigurado.

Minsan hindi kulang ang materials.

Kulang ang direksyon.

❌ 3. Vocabulary lang ang inaaral.

Ito ang isa sa pinakamadalas kong makita.

Nakakakabisado ng daan-daang salita.

Pero kapag nilagay sa pangungusap...

nalilito.

Bakit?

Kasi hindi naman vocabulary test ang EPS-TOPIK.

Kailangan mong maintindihan kung paano ginagamit ang salita sa totoong sitwasyon.

❌ 4. Nag-aaral lang kapag malapit na ang exam.

May mga taong 6 na buwan nag-aaral kahit 20 minuto lang bawat araw.

May iba naman na 2 linggo bago exam saka pa lang nagmamadali.

Ang problema?

Hindi sprint ang EPS-TOPIK.

Marathon siya.

At bihirang manalo ang biglaang sipag laban sa matagal na consistency.

❌ 5. Nag-aaral mag-isa.

Ito ang hindi masyadong napag-uusapan.

Kapag mali ang pronunciation mo...

sino ang magko-correct?

Kapag may hindi ka maintindihan...

sino ang tatanungin mo?

Kapag nawawalan ka ng gana...

sino ang magpapaalala sa'yo kung bakit ka nagsimula?

Minsan hindi sapat ang sipag.

Kailangan din ng gabay.

❌ 6. Nahihiya magkamali.

Ito siguro ang pinaka-Filipino sa lahat.

Ayaw magtanong.

Ayaw sumagot.

Ayaw magbasa nang malakas.

Baka pagtawanan.

Baka mali.

Pero isipin mo ito:

Mas mahal ang presyo ng hiya kaysa presyo ng pagkakamali.

Kasi ang pagkakamali, natutuwid.

Ang tanong na hindi mo tinanong...

posibleng lumabas sa exam.

Ang masakit?

Maraming bumabagsak sa EPS-TOPIK hindi dahil imposible ang Korea.

Hindi dahil mahina sila.

Kundi dahil wala silang tamang sistema, tamang gabay, at sapat na consistency.

At minsan...

konting adjustment lang sa paraan ng pag-aaral ang kailangan.

Hindi dagdag na reviewer.

Hindi dagdag na pressure.

Ibang approach lang.

Curious ako.

Kung naghahanda ka para sa EPS-TOPIK ngayon, ano ang pinakamalaking struggle mo?

④ Consistency

⑤ Pagod dahil sa trabaho

Comment mo lang ang number.

Gusto kong makita kung ano talaga ang pinagdadaanan ng mga future Korea workers ngayon.

Maraming bumabagsak sa EPS-TOPIK dahil sa maling strategy.

Akala nila kailangan kabisaduhin ang libo-libong Korean words.

Hindi.

Sa mga taon na nagturo ako ng EPS-TOPIK, napansin ko na may mga salitang paulit-ulit talagang lumalabas sa exam, lalo na sa mga tanong tungkol sa trabaho at factory life.

Kung seryoso kang makapagtrabaho sa Korea, simulan mo dito.

1️⃣ 작업 (작업)
📖 Jak-eop
➡️ Trabaho / Gawain / Work Operation

Example:

작업을 시작하세요.
➡️ Simulan ang trabaho.

Kapag nasa factory ka sa Korea, madalas mo itong maririnig.

At oo, madalas din itong lumabas sa EPS-TOPIK.

2️⃣ 안전 (안전)
📖 An-jeon
➡️ Kaligtasan / Safety

Example:

안전을 지키세요.
➡️ Sundin ang safety rules.

Sa Korea, sobrang seryoso nila sa workplace safety.

Kaya hindi nakakapagtaka na lagi itong kasama sa listening at reading questions.

3️⃣ 기계 (기계)
📖 Gi-gye
➡️ Makina / Machine

Example:

기계를 끄세요.
➡️ Patayin ang makina.

Kung factory worker ang target mo, isa ito sa mga salitang hindi mo pwedeng hindi alam.

Napansin mo?

Hindi sila:

❌ Oppa
❌ Saranghae
❌ Annyeonghaseyo

Mga salitang sikat sa K-drama.

Pero kung ang goal mo ay makapasa sa EPS-TOPIK at magkaroon ng pagkakataong magtrabaho sa Korea...

mas mahalaga muna ang Korean na ginagamit sa trabaho.

Hindi Korean na ginagamit sa love story. 😅

Maraming aplikante ang nahihirapan sa EPS-TOPIK hindi dahil mahina sila.

Kundi dahil mali ang inuuna nilang aralin.

Study smart.

Hindi study hard lang.
