𝑨𝒑𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒐, proudly represented the club at the 𝘾𝑨𝑷𝑰𝒁𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑵𝑬𝑪𝑻: 𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒎 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆-𝑾𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 held at 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝘅𝗮𝘀. Following the directives of 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘇 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 and the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (𝗣𝗡𝗩𝗦𝗖𝗔), the team actively engaged in promoting volunteerism and community welfare. They distributed vitamins, TopBreed dog food, and rabies awareness brochures, aiming to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and support overall community health. Through this initiative, the VSCC members not only contributed to public health advocacy but also strengthened the culture of volunteerism among the youth in Capiz.

This engaging and timely lecture brought to light the often-overlooked aspects of veterinary education: mental health, emotional regulation, and sustainable success. Through a mix of personal reflection and evidence-based strategies, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐫𝐞𝐯 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 reminded us that veterinary medicine was not only about knowledge and skill—but about endurance, clarity, and care for the self.

Key topics included the importance of:
🔹 Recognizing stress and responding before it led to burnout
🔹 Building resilience that allowed growth without self-erasure
🔹 Navigating our careers with intention and flexibility
🔹 Setting boundaries and learning to say "no" without guilt
🔹 Letting go of perfectionism and unhealthy comparisons
🔹 Expressing emotions openly as a form of strength
🔹 And resisting toxic positivity, embracing instead an honest and supportive outlook

One of the most impactful moments of the session was the reminder that prioritizing mental well-being was not a luxury, but a necessity in our journey as future veterinarians.
