DUMANJUG, Cebu โ Students of Dumanjug National High School showcased their singing talents during a Vocal Solo Competition held at the school on August 22, 2026.
Twelve contestants, with two representatives from each grade level, took part in the competition, expressing their emotions and passion through their performances.
Among the contestants was Grade 12 student Charmeh Rise Pingkian, who secured third place in the competition.
Pingkian shared her excitement over the unexpected achievement, saying, โI am so happy that I got third place even though I didn't expect to place in the Vocal Solo Competition. Even though I was shaking with fear, I still managed to do it.โ
โI thought I wasn't going to win because there were so many people with beautiful voices. I didn't expect that I would actually place in the Vocal Solo Competition. I also thank God for guiding me while I was singing,โ she added.
For Pingkian, the achievement was an unexpected yet memorable victory, especially knowing that she was competing against other talented students. Her performance proved that courage and determination can turn nervousness into a moment of success.
