Congratulations, Tapon ES Journalists!

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 📰| 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗦 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗦𝗣𝗖

𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗡, 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗴, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂- 12 campus journalists from Tapon Elementary School have qualified for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference after competing in six journalism categories during the District SPC on August 29, 2026 held at the Dumanjug National High School.

The elementary level featured student journalists from Tapon Elementary School and Dumanjug Central School, who competed in different journalism disciplines.

Tapon ES journalists qualified in Editorial Cartooning, Column Writing, Feature Writing, News Writing, Photojournalism, and Editorial Writing, showcasing their skills in written and visual journalism.

In Editorial Cartooning, Luke and Kian qualified, while Franchine Nicole and Shanylle advanced in Column Writing.

Yusshey Faith and Ma. Luiza Jane qualified in Feature Writing, while Marah Queene and Shaira advanced in News Writing.

In Photojournalism, Vheigr Francis Notarte and Chris Francheska secured qualification. Kiera Antonette and Francheska Denise also qualified in Editorial Writing.

The qualifiers will now prepare for the next level of competition as they represent the District of Dumanjug 1 in the Division Schools Press Conference on September 7–11, 2026, in Carmen, Cebu.

Their advancement marks another opportunity for the young journalists to demonstrate their skills in responsible and creative campus journalism at the division level.

KINDNESS IN ACTION: an SELG Anti-Bullying Campaign!

The Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) of Tapon Elementary School, successfully conducted our Anti-Bullying Campaign from August 24–28, 2026! 🫶

Through our Coloring Activity, Poster-Making, Slogan-Making, and dance presentations, our learners showed that creativity can be a powerful way to promote kindness, respect, friendship, and inclusion.

A big thank you to our generous sponsors and to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful initiative. Together, we continue to build a safer, kinder, and bully-free school community!

Tapon Elementary School proudly congratulates Melvin Jr. Villaluna, a Grade 6 student for being recognized as the 8th Top Performer among participants from the Districts of Dumanjug 1 and 2 in the iSTEP-UP (Inclusive Science and Technology Education Program for Uplifting the Performance of Filipino Learners) conducted by Philippine Science High School, Central Visayas, Cebu.
