The Local Youth Development Council successfully held the Youth Convergence: LYDC Mandatory Training on May 23, 2026 at Growpoint Daro, Dumaguete City, gathering passionate young individuals dedicated to serving and creating positive impact in the society.
Attended by Society of Student Communicators President, Hon. John Paul Dumaldal and Secretary for External Affairs, Hon. Nicole Faith Janea, the training served as a space for leadership development, solidarity, and active civic involvement.

The third General Assembly of the Society of Student Communicators was held on May 14, 2026, at the CAS AVR, gathering Student Communicators together with the faculty and staff of the Department of Communication. During the assembly, the Transparency Report and Financial Report for Academic Year 2025โ2026 were formally presented, highlighting the organizationโs commitment to accountability and responsible leadership.
The event also featured the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected SSC officers for Academic Year 2026โ2027, marking the start of a new chapter of service and leadership. Outgoing SSC President Hon. Jet Silva likewise delivered the final State of the Society Address, reflecting on the organizationโs accomplishments, challenges, and aspirations for the society and its members.
