The Silliman University College of Education (SU-CoE) is a CHED Center of Excellence in Teacher Education and accredited Level IV by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU). Established in 1919, CoE is among the pioneering colleges of Silliman University and celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2019. True to its creed of providing quality, relevant, and innovative teacher education in the country and the world, SU-CoE thrives within the principle of FIRE where Faith, as the very core of its values, is inculcated among would-be teachers; excellence in Instruction is ensured through qualified, competent, and well-informed instructors and professors who are highly renowned experts on their respective fields; rigor in Research as the lifeblood of innovation and advancement in teaching, learning, and assessment; and passion in Extension where the communities are considered as partners of development and laboratories of learning both for Silliman and the community.

Sharing some snaps during the 2nd Negros Island and Siquijor Region Student Teachers Summit and Classroom-Based Action Research Congress held last August 22, 2026 at the Silliman University Gymnasium with concurrent sessions at the IMTC AVT 1 and the Multipurpose Room, Silliman University.

This yearโ€™s ST summit and CBAR congress is participated in by about 433 Student Teachers from 15 Teacher Education Institutions across the provinces of Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, and Siquijor.
