Our alumna Shay Du had always been a good writer since she was in grade school. She demonstrated her skills further when she was editor-in-chief of the Weekly Sillimanian. Then she joined Rappler even before her graduation. And she has never stopped making the College proud.

As a student in the late 90s, Beth Castillo-Winsor was recognized as Freshman of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, Junior Student of the Year, and Senior Student of the Year. She’s now an entrepreneur, continuing to use her skills and talents.

Aside from recently graduating magna cm laude, Timi Burbano also set the bar so high as one of the most active governors of the Kapunungan sa mga Mass Communicators the College has ever had. He is also responsible for designing the branding kit for our 60th anniversary celebrations.

Our alumna Jurgette Honculada, the first summa cm laude ever produced by the School of Communication more than 5 decades ago, continues to make her voice heard as the country’s prominent labor leader, feminist, and writer. Her interests are on gender mainstreaming and its integration into the political processes. She is known for her critical analyses of the bureaucracy, and the role of NGOs in policy-making.
