SUSG Educational Services Committee ‘25–‘26 Wrapped 📖✨

From our very first step at Genesis 2025 to our final Study Space initiatives, this year has been nothing short of meaningful.

We introduced who we are, shared laughs at our booth, marched with light during Hibalag, and found our home in each other during our Grand Orientation. We served through every study space—offering not just snacks, but comfort during the most stressful weeks.

We welcomed and guided our UTGP grantees, and through EduCare, we were reminded of the true heart of service—giving, connecting, and making a difference beyond ourselves.

Every event, every late-night preparation, every small act of service—these became stories we’ll carry with us long after this term ends.

To everyone who supported, participated, and believed in us—thank you. You truly made this journey worthwhile.

This may be our last post for this school year, but this is not the end. We’ll see you again next school year—SUSG EdSer will always be here.

📣CALLING ALL ASPIRING STUDENT LEADERS!

The SUSG Educational Services Committee is opening its doors for dedicated student leaders to join our team! We are looking for passionate individuals to fill key leadership roles and help us streamline our services for the student body.

Check out the available positions and their responsibilities below:

📌Scholarship Vice-Chairperson📨
• Oversees all matters related to the SUSG Scholarship Program, including:
• Management of the application period and screening of applicants
• Preparation of endorsement letters and other required documentation
• Coordination with the SUSG Finance Committee regarding the processing and release of scholarship funds

📌Secretariat Heads💻
• Serve as primary support to the Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons
• Supervise the Secretariat Subcommittee in:
• Preparing official correspondence, meeting minutes, and documentation
• Organizing and maintaining files and records, including Google Drive systems
• Assist the Scholarship, SIFAP, and UTGP Divisions in the preparation and processing of documents
• Develop captions and written content for official online postings

📌 Events Head 🎤
• Leads the Events Subcommittee in:
• Overseeing all events from planning to ex*****on
• Ensuring that activities run smoothly and according to plan
• Coordinating closely with the Chairperson and Logistics team to maintain an organized and well-structured event flow

📌Finance Head🧾
• Leads the Finance Subcommittee in:
• Preparing budget proposals
• Drafting and consolidating liquidation reports
• Managing and safekeeping financial records and receipts
• Coordinates with the SUSG Finance Committee to facilitate the processing of endorsement documents for the Scholarship, SIFAP, and UTGP Divisions

📌Logistics Head📋
• Oversees the Logistics Subcommittee in:
• Processing requisitions and securing necessary permits
• Canvassing suppliers and sourcing materials
• Procuring required items
• Handling logistical errands and on-ground support

📌Infomedia Heads🎨
• Lead the Infomedia Subcommittee in:
• Designing and producing publication materials (e.g., posters, reels, and other media content)
• Conceptualizing social media branding and managing content planning and posting schedules

SSI DAY 5 RECAP: SIGNING OFF FOR THE YEAR 🌟

Since the first semester, the Student Spaces Initiative has simply been here to support you—with Milo, coffee, biscuits, and printing in Oriental Hall. But the real story of this year has always been you: your persistence, your resilience, and the strength you carried through every exam and deadline. 👏

This last SSI marks the end of our shared grind for the year. Thank you for showing up, for pushing through, and for reminding us what dedication looks like. We’re grateful to have stood alongside you in this journey. 📚

It is always nice seeing the space filled with Sillimanians grinding through their reviewers. Finals week hits hard but you are all showing up anyway and that says a lot.
