๐งก KAMATUORAN SERIES NO. 3 ๐งก
Demystifying Health Misconceptions: Proper Antibiotic Use
Antibiotics have saved millions of lives โ but only when used correctly. Misuse and overuse can lead to antimicrobial resistance (AMR), making infections harder to treat and putting public health at risk.
In this series, we break down common misconceptions about antibiotics, explain why prescriptions matter, and highlight how responsible use protects not just you โ but everyone.
๐ Remember: antibiotics are powerful tools, not shortcuts.
Letโs choose knowledge over myths. ๐โจ

THE RED RIBBON PROJECT | CONCLUDED
Know More. Fear Less. 2026
The Red Ribbon Project has successfully concludedโmarking a meaningful step toward a more informed, compassionate, and health-conscious Silliman community.
Last January 14, 2026, students, faculty, and staff came together at Oriental Hall to participate in free and confidential HIV testing, screening, and counseling. Through this initiative, we created a safe space for learning, early detection, and open conversationsโreminding everyone that knowing your status is an act of courage, care, and responsibility.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, volunteers, medical professionals, and participants who made this initiative possible. Your presence and support helped strengthen awareness, challenge stigma, and promote facts over fear.
As HIV cases continue to rise nationwide, may this initiative serve as a reminder that awareness saves livesโand that collective action makes a difference.
Letโs keep the conversation going.
Letโs continue choosing knowledge, compassion, and community care. ๐
