Let us check who will be the resource speakers of this year’s ORE!

GEOLOGIST LEO SOSA, the lecturer for the topic, Ore Deposits: Mineral Reserves, Resources, and Estimation, is a COMPETENT PERSON as prescribed by the Philippine Mineral Reporting Code and a member of the Geological Society of the Philippines and Society of Economic Geologists. He was a graduate of BS Geology in Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila. He served for almost 15 years with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau prior to joining the private sector. He has over 20 years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry participating and managing mineral exploration programs involving epithermal gold, porphyry copper and gold, base metals and massive sulphide, iron skarn and nickel –laterite deposits.

GEOLOGIST ALEC BENJAMIN RAMIREZ, the keynote speaker for the topic, Exploring New Philippine Territories (Highlighting 534 new islands), is the NO. 1 TOPNOTCHER of the 2017 Geology Licensure Examination held in Manila, Philippines. He was an alumnus of Negros Oriental State University and was the President of Geology Students Society last year. Also, he was a member of the university publication “The NORSUNIAN” and was awarded as the Best Rebuttal Speaker in the Qualfon Inter-Collegiate debate on 2015. He is currently a Geology Instructor of Negros Oriental State University.
