FPA and FU Futsal Teams at the Dauin Futsal Tournament 2026!
It was a weekend full of competition, learning, and memorable experience for the Foundation Preparatory Academy (FPA) Under-16 Futsal Team and the Foundation University (FU) Women’s Open Futsal Team at the Dauin Futsal Tournament 2026!
FPA Under-16 Futsal Team
On Day 1, September 12, 2026, the FPA Under-16 team showed determination and confidence as they faced strong opponents throughout the tournament.
They opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Dauin FC, followed by another impressive 2-0 win against Tanjay FC. In their deciding match against Dumaguete City National High School, the team fought hard but fell 4-0.
Despite missing out on the championship, the FPA Under-16 team finished the tournament as 1st Runner-Up among the participating teams. Their performance is a great testament to their hard work, teamwork, and continued development. Congratulations, FPA! 🥈👏
FU Women's Open Futsal Team
On Day 2, the FU Futsal Team competed in the Women's Open Category, taking on strong teams.
They started the elimination round with a 1-1 draw against Negros Dolphins, after scoring the opening goal of the match. They followed this with a 0-0 draw against Tanjay FC B. In their final elimination game, the team battled hard against Gian FC but ended with a narrow 1-0 loss.
With two draws and one loss, FU still secured a spot in the semifinals.
In the semifinals, FU faced Oldskol FC in another closely contested match. After Oldskol FC scored first, FU fought back to equalize, ending the game 1-1. The match went to a penalty shootout, where FU narrowly lost 3-2.
In the battle for third place, the team faced Tanjay FC A and finished the tournament with a 4-0 loss. Despite the result, the FU Women's Futsal Team had a strong showing, finishing in the Top 4 out of 8 teams.
More than the results, the tournament gave our players valuable experience, stronger confidence, and lessons they can carry into their next competitions.
Congratulations to both FPA and FU Futsal Teams! Your hard work, discipline, and willingness to compete are something to be proud of. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep pushing forward!
