Celebrated every first Sunday of April, we honor the people who study the Earth and uncover its stories through rocks, landforms, and natural processes.

Today, we recognize their role in helping us understand our world and protect it for future. More than science, it’s a reminder of our role to care for the world we all share.

𝙏𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙨,

From the very first GC link and welcoming emails, you made us feel like we already belonged. At the time, it seemed like just a small gesture, but looking back, it meant so much. You showed us care, patience, and a quiet guidance that we’ve carried with us ever since.

Throughout your journey, you carried responsibilities that would have been too heavy for many, yet you faced them with courage and grace. You showed us what it meant to perseveree when the path is hard, to lead not for recognition but out of love for your work and your peers, and to inspire quietly through action rather than words.

To Ate Menchie, you may be quiet, but the way you handle things and care for others speaks louder than words ever could. To Kuya Zed, your calm and steady presence makes everyone around you feel safer, more confident, and at ease. To Ate Abi, your laughter and warmth brighten every moment and make even the toughest days feel lighter. To Kuya Judd, thank you for showing up to every event, for noticing us, and for making us feel seen in ways that mattered more than you know.

The SC third floor won’t be the same without you. Your quiet strength, laughter, and care made it a place full of life and heart, and the memories you’ve left will stay with us always. Even as you move forward, know that this will always be your home away from home, and wherever life takes you, there will always be a place here waiting for you.

We regret to inform everyone that the Geology Exhibit, Earth Raider: Into the Depths of the Earth, scheduled on February 5–6 at SC 344, has been canceled.

This is in line with Executive Order No. 19, series of 2026, issued by Negros Oriental Governor Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria, which suspends all classes in both public and private schools on February 5–6 due to Tropical Depression Basyang and its expected landfall over Negros Oriental and the Visayas region.
