The St. Paul University Dumaguete Paulinian Psychology Society proudly commenced its participation in Day 1 of the 39th Annual Convention of Psychological Association of Philippines Junior Affiliates (PAPJA) 2026, held at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Accompanied by dedicated psychology instructors, the delegation was guided by the Program Chair of Psychology Ms. Pamela Joyce Santos, alongside psychology instructors Ms. Shannee Rose Lacson and Ms. Fenella Caluscusin. Together, they will be engaging in academic discussions, professional exposure, and collaborative learning opportunities alongside fellow psychology students and practitioners from across the country.
Day 1 marked a meaningful step in strengthening the Paulinian commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, and the pursuit of psychological knowledge in service of the community.

St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD), in collaboration with TESDA and the DSWD Walang Gutom Program, successfully held the Graduation Ceremony and Bread and Pastry Production NC II Tool Kit Distribution for TESDA STEP scholars, at Father Louis Chauvet Hall.
The event featured significant momentsโfrom the presentation and confirmation of graduates to the distribution of essential toolkitsโled by distinguished officials and partners: Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC (University President), PD Fletcher B. Gumahad (TESDA Provincial Director), Ms. Jewel Goldamir C. Macayan (Regional Program Coordinator, DSWD Walang Gutom Program), Mr. Rodmar G. Sumog-oy (Compliance Verification Officer, Walang Gutom Program NIR), and Mrs. Lorielin J. Oira, MA-CDDS (TESDA Coordinator, SPUD).
This initiative is part of the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), a community-based training aimed at addressing local skills needs and promoting employment through entrepreneurship, self-employment, and service-oriented activities. The program offers short-term, module-based training aligned with TESDA regulations, preparing beneficiaries for productive livelihoods.
As part of the STEP Scholarship Grant, TESDA provided graduates with essential toolkits, including a 45-liter oven and electric mixerโtools that will serve as a foundation for livelihood opportunities in Bread and Pastry Production.

Building Skills, Baking Dreams: SPUD Receives Tool Kits for Bread and Pastry Scholarship Program
St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) is proud to announce the successful delivery of tool kits for the Bread and Pastry Production NC II Scholarship program. This initiative aims to enhance the hands-on training and skill development of our scholars.
The tool kits were officially received by Ms. Lorielin J. Oira, SPUD TESDA Coordinator, along with Ms. Cherry Lyn N. Tecio, Administrative Assistant. The delivery was facilitated by TESDA Supply Officer Designate, Dr. Pepito Peral, in coordination with the supplier.
The turnover took place at the SPUD TESDA Office. These kits will play a vital role in empowering our students to turn their passion for baking into professional expertise.
SPUD extends its heartfelt gratitude to TESDA and all partners for their continued support in advancing technical education and shaping the future of aspiring bakers.

The SPUD International Internship Coordinator, along with the Dean and Program Chairs, recently conducted monitoring and evaluation of our student internsโBSHM, BSTM, and BSBAโin Hong Kong.
The team assessed the internsโ performance, gathered feedback, and observed their adaptation to the international environment. The interns demonstrated professionalism and gained valuable global experience, cultural understanding, and industry insights.
This activity reflects SPUDโs commitment to providing meaningful international opportunities. The feedback will help improve future internships, ensuring they remain impactful and beneficial for studentsโ growth.

St. Benedict Childhood Education Centre, Inc. visited St. Paul University Dumaguete for benchmarking and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Led by Principal Mr. Raul Ballesteros and their student leaders, the delegation explored best practices in student leadership and innovative programs. St. Benedict also shared their own successful strategies in student development, leadership training, and campus activities.
The highlight was the signing of the MOU, with University President Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC, and Principal Sr. Carmelita Villanueva, SPC, formalizing the partnership to promote collaboration and joint initiatives. Ms. Jerlyn Manila, Student Activity Team Leader of St. Paul, and other student leaders actively participated, emphasizing peer-led growth.
This partnership aims to strengthen leadership programs and foster a culture of excellence. Both schools expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations, inspiring a shared commitment to innovation and community service.
