Today, on June 17, 2026, the Silliman University – Philosophy Circle formally gathers for its Department Orientation and the Oath-Taking Ceremony of its newly elected officers.

As new members are welcomed into the discipline and new leaders assume their responsibilities, the occasion marks both a beginning and a continuation of the Circle’s commitment to philosophical inquiry, service, and academic excellence. Congratulations to the incoming officers, and best wishes for a fruitful year ahead.

Independence Day (6-12-26)

Today we celebrate 128 years of Philippine Independence 🇵🇭— a commemoration of freedom, courage, sacrifice, and love of country. Independence is not just a victory of the past, but a responsibility we carry in the present. May we honor and value it not only in words, but in the way we live as Filipinos.

Freedom dies not in chains, but in the failure to use wisdom for the good of the country.
