PAGHULMA: A Capacity Building and Leadership Training Activity 💚

Our Eco-friendly Organization successfully held one of its major activities at Melrose Resort, Mangnao, Dumaguete City on Saturday, January 11, 2025. This event was conducted in collaboration with the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Negros Oriental High School (NOHS).

This activity was facilitated with the Gaba-an Youth Lead (GYL) in the morning. GYL prepared activities such as "Win as Much as You Can", "Bluetooth", "Protect the Cell", and "EDSA Revolution". After each activity, the facilitators shared beautiful insights and made the participants realized the importance of taking care of the environment.

In the afternoon session, it was handled by Hon. Crissan Charls D. Bantaya, the SK Chairperson of Barangay Buñao, SK Federation Vice-President of Dumaguete City and a former student-leader of NOHS. He shared his journey, experiences, and challenges that he faced as the former SSG President. He also shared life lessons, reminding everyone to go out of their shells and see something within themselves.

This activity was truly fun, exhausting, and amazing. You could truly see the smiley faces of Eco-friendly members during the activity. This wouldn't have happened without our Eco-friendly Adviser, Mrs. Jane Consejo C. Pinuto, Ma'am Leah Q. Nuique, SHS Teacher-In-Charge, and our very own Principal, Mr. Ranjel D. Estimar.

Our eco-friendly team wrapped up the 'Pasko na sa NOHS' event on December 18, 2024 by taking responsibility for the cleanup. 🎄✨ We stepped up to clean the gym, ensuring that the joy of Christmas doesn’t come at the expense of our environment. Together, we can make every event kinder to our school. 💚

On this very special NOHS Foundation Day, our Eco-Friendly team was dedicated to keeping our school clean! In the morning, we ensured the campus was spotless after the Thanksgiving Mass, and in the afternoon, we made sure no trash was left behind in the oval after our Parada. Keeping Founder's Day venues clean is our top priority because we believe that a clean environment reflects the respect we have for our school and community.🍃🍃🍃🌱

By advocating our mantra, 'Basura Ko, Ibulsa Ko. Basura Ko, Responsibilidad Ko,' we’re taking responsibility for our waste while also inspiring others to do the same. One clean-up at a time, mga ka-eco!

Green alert, NOHSians! 🍃💚

Over the past two days, our dedicated eco-friendly team is actively working to keep the Founder’s Day celebrations clean and green.💙💚

We successfully managed waste during the Mr. and Ms. NOHS pageant held at the Lamberto L. Macias Sports & Cultural Complex on August 29, 2024, ensuring that the venue remained clean and tidy throughout the event. Earlier this morning too, as the Mass and Opening Salvo took place, we continued our commitment to a zero-waste environment. Our clean-up team made sure that every corner of the venue stayed clean and eco-friendly.

As we continue our Founder’s Day: Piyestang Asul sa NOHS 2024 celebrations, let’s keep our environment clean and green! Our eco-friendly team is hard at work ensuring every event is waste-free and environmentally responsible. Let’s all do our part—dispose your waste properly, following our “Basura ko, ibulsa ko. Basura ko, responsibilidad ko” principle. Help us protect our environment. Together, we can make this celebration both memorable and sustainable!🍃🍃🍃
