​Classes: Suspended at all levels in both public and private schools.

​School Personnel: Work is suspended for all teaching and non-teaching personnel in both public and private institutions.

​​WEATHER & LOCAL HAZARD SITUATION
​Threat: Monitoring of Tropical Depression "KIYAPO" and active Thunderstorm Warnings across Negros Oriental.

​Current Conditions: Severe thunderstorms accompanied by moderate to heavy rainshowers, strong winds, and frequent lightning.

​High-Risk Hazards in Siaton: High risk of flash floods along low-lying river areas and landslides/rockslides along mountain slopes and barangay roads.

​SAFETY DIRECTIVES

​Stay Indoors: Avoid crossing flooded rivers, spillways, and areas prone to landslides.

OFFICIAL ADVISORY

Hon. Alberto G. Ator, Municipal Mayor of Siaton, has ordered the SUSPENSION OF CLASSES in all public and private schools in the Municipality of Siaton, effective July 8, 2026, until further notice, upon the recommendation of the MDRRMO due to the effects of Super Typhoon Inday and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The public is advised to continue monitoring the official communication channels of the Municipality of Siaton for further updates.

An Opening of Classes School Monitoring initiative (frequently conducted by the Department of Education) is a proactive evaluation process designed to guarantee that schools are fully prepared for the academic year. It assesses a school's readiness in facilities, staffing, policies, and curriculum implementation on day one.

We are grateful that we had been visited by our Siaton 2 District Supervisor Ma'am Delia Alanano together with Sir Antonio Broce and our Schools Division Of Negros Oriental monitoring team Ma'am Sue Austero and Sir Francis Austero.

A productive day indeed!
