WCSES Campus Journos Clinch 8 Awards at Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026

Young journalists from West City Science Elementary School (WCSES) showcased their writing, creativity, and journalistic skills after earning multiple awards competing among public and private schools in Dumaguete City in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026.

Filipino division:
🥇Drake Carlisle A. Bitun-1st Place in Lathalain (Feature Writing)
🥉Jacey M. Macute- 3rd Place in Photojournalism.

English division:
🥇Nathalia Avrill M. Nave-1st Place in Photojournalism
🥉Kieran Raphaelle F. Acas- 2nd Place in Column Writing and 3rd Place in Copyreading and Headline Writing.

Other WCSES journalists also earned notable finishes in their respective events.

✍️Katneiss Mary C. Gonzales- 4th Place in Editorial Cartooning.
✍️Savanna Reign J. Cataluña- 5th Place in Feature Writing

Behind the young journalists' achievements were their dedicated School Paper Advisers (SPAs), who guided and supported the learners throughout their preparation for the competition.
