: The National Service Training Program (NSTP), through its components—Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and Literacy Training Service (LTS)—warmly welcomes all freshmen for School Year 2025–2026.

The NSTP orientation is scheduled on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 7:00 AM at the Silliman University Gymnasium.

Freshmen are advised to come early for registration.

: Companies from the top 1,000 corporations in the country will be joining the 2024 Silliman University Job Fair on May 20 -21, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the East Quadrangle, Silliman University Campus, Dumaguete City (fronting the University House). The participating companies include: Rockwell Land Corporation, Land Bank of the Philippines, Grandison USA, Jollibee Foods Corporation, Chong Hua Hospital, First Balfour, Inc., Minebeamitsumi Phils., Fast Retailing Philippines Inc. (Uniqlo) and Philchema, Inc., to name a few. The Silliman University Career and Placement Desk of the Alumni and External Affairs office is still open to companies who wish to join the job fair.

Graduating seniors and other job applicants are advised to prepare copies of their resume and attend the job fair opening program on May 20, 2024, 8:00 AM at the Silliman Hall. This annual job fair is open to the public to extend the same opportunity to graduating students from other colleges and universities.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝘃. 𝗥𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗼

The Silliman University (SU) community joins the people of Negros Oriental and the rest of the country in condemning the dastardly killing of Governor Roel Ragay Degamo, last Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his residence in Pamplona.

SU is deeply saddened and condemns in the strongest possible terms the senseless killing of the governor and the eight other individuals who lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The SU Board of Trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, and the students, extend heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.

Degamo, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering graduate, 1989, was brutally killed together with eight other civilians in what the authorities described as a massacre.

Gov. Degamo was meeting local residents who were seeking assistance through the governor's programs when the armed men entered his residential compound in Pamplona town and opened fire.

SU also expresses its concern for the 13 individuals who were injured in the incident and pray for their speedy recovery as it calls the authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident to ensure that justice is served, and the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.

SU remains committed to upholding the principles of peace, justice, and respect for human life believing that violence has no place in our society.

We call on all our fellow Filipinos to join us in condemning this senseless act of violence. Let us work together towards a peaceful and just society where every individual's right to life is respected and protected.

We also stand in solidarity with the people of Negros Oriental during this difficult time, and we offer our prayers and support, especially to the victims and their families.

Let us unite as a community and strive for a better tomorrow.

The NSTP Team of Silliman University successfully conducted its NSTP Orientation at the SU Gymnasium wherein an estimate of 1,200 students attended.

The activity was a huge success led by its very energetic NSTP Director DR. EARL JUDE PAUL L. CLEOPE who is also the Vice President for Academic Affairs assisted by his Coordinators from the different components in the NSTP Program, the CWTS, LTS and ROTC.

KUDOS for a job well done!

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) and its components: Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and Literacy Training Service (LTS) welcome all 2022-2023 freshmen.

This school year, all NSTP components will adopt a limited face-to-face teaching and learning modality with a hybrid approach. NSTP formation and learning activities will be conducted in-person with online activities (both synchronous and asynchronous). In-person learning activities refer to experiential learning, training, or field demonstration.

Online activities are formation or learning activities conducted synchronously on Zoom or other video teleconference platforms, or asynchronously on mySOUL.

Freshmen students are required to take note of the following schedules below:

August 20, 2022, 7:00 to 10:00 AM at Silliman University Gymnasium - In-person NSTP orientation

August 22 to 31 Online NSTP registration via mySOUL - The registration will take place on NSTP virtual classroom on mySOUL.

September 1, 2022 - Announcement of accepted cadets in each NSTP component. Notice of acceptance will be emailed to accepted cadets.

September 3, 2022, 7:00 to 8:30 AM - Classes begin
