SJA Teachers Participate in the 2026 PEAC INSET

The teachers of St. Jerome Academy participated in the 2026 PEAC In-Service Training (INSET) for Junior High School Teachers held at the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

Anchored on the theme, "Tracking Learners' Progress: Strengthening and Elevating Students' Performance of the Grades 9 and 10 Revised K–10 Curriculum," the three-day training equipped and updated the teachers with effective teaching strategies and innovative assessment practices to better support the holistic development of learners. It also reaffirmed the school's mission to provide quality, values-laden education by embracing lifelong learning, curriculum innovation, and learner-centered instruction.

With hearts full of gratitude and pride, Saint Jerome Academy, Inc. celebrates another remarkable achievement as we are officially granted PEAC Certified Status for our Junior High School Program under the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) of the Department of Education.
This milestone inspires us to remain steadfast in our commitment to excellence as we continue to nurture young individuals of good character, committed to excellence and dedicated to serving others, while living out the true Jeromian spirit in every aspect of their lives.

BINYAG JEROMIANS 2026: Growing Together as One Jeromian Family

With grateful hearts, the St. Jerome Academy family gathered for Binyag Jeromians 2026, marking the beginning of a new school year with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, during which we entrusted our hopes, dreams, and journeys to God's loving guidance. We were reminded that every Jeromian is called to live a life of faith, compassion, and service.

The celebration continued with exciting games and enjoyable activities that filled the day with laughter, teamwork, and new friendships. More than just moments of fun, these experiences strengthened the bonds that unite us as one Jeromian family.

As we officially welcome our new learners and embrace another year together, may this cherished tradition inspire each of us to grow in wisdom, character, and love. May we continue this journey together, carrying the Jeromian spirit wherever we go.

With hearts filled with hope and minds ready to embrace new learning experiences, we warmly welcome our new and returning Jeromian learners, Dominican Sisters, faculty members, and staff as we begin another exciting school year at St. Jerome Academy, Inc.
Our opening activities provided opportunities for self-discovery, meaningful connections, and the sharing of dreams, experiences, and aspirations. Each smile, conversation, and activity served as a reminder that every learner has a unique story, a special gift, and a dream worth pursuing.

Empowering Teachers on Student Discipline and Legal Liability Protection

The teachers and staff of St. Jerome Academy attended OP Schools INSET 2026, with Atty. Joseph Noel M. Estrada, as resource speaker, discussed student discipline and emphasized the importance of protecting teachers from legal liabilities in the performance of their duties.

With a shared commitment to strengthening child protection and safeguarding practices and ensuring that school practices remain aligned with institutional and legal standards for learner safety, the teachers and staff of St. Jerome Academy attended in the OP Schools Safeguarding Seminar held on May 13–14, 2026 at Holy Rosary Academy – Molo. The seminar was facilitated by Sr. Maria Socorro Pilar Evidente, who served as the resource speaker and highlighted key policies on safeguarding, child protection, and the promotion of safe and supportive learning environments in Catholic educational institutions.
