We join eager to prove what we can do. We stay because we learn what we can become.

Dito sa amin, ang karate ay hindi para daigin ang kapwa o ipakita kung sino ang mas malakas. Ito ay para harapin mo yung mga kahinaan mo, pag-aalinlangan, madaling mawala sa pokus, mabilis mapagod, pagiging mayabang o masyadong nagmamadali. Ang paggalang sa guro/Instructor, pagtitiwala sa kasama, pagiging matiyaga, at pagkakaroon ng disiplina sa sarili.

Marami ang sumasali para lang ipakita kung ano ang kaya nilang gawin. Pero yung mga nananatili, dito nila natututunan ang tunay na halaga, hindi sukat ng tagumpay kung gaano ka kalakas kesa sa iba. Ang tunay na panalo ay kapag mas maayos ka, mas mahinahon, at mas disiplinado kumpara noon.

Ito mismo ang dahilan kung bakit kami nandito bilang SAPYM THE LADY BUTANDING.

School schedules are full, activities pile up, and some teammates could not join us today, yet practice still went on. Those who stood on the training ground showed up not just for skill, but for the promise we keep: to grow together, no matter how busy life gets. Every step, every stance, every repetition is proof that true strength begins where convenience ends.
Young learners show that consistency beats perfection every time. Growing stronger, one session at a time building future leaders through discipline.

Sabi nga nila, hindi sa dami ng tao nasusukat ang determinasyon. Kahit dalawa lang kami ngayon sa tatami, tuloy ang agos! Patuloy ang pagsasanay ni Sapym "The Lady Butanding" para sa mas matalas na sining at mas matibay na disiplina.

The training today captures the heart and spirit of our SAPYM Donsol Chapter, where students of all ages, from our youngest beginners to our dedicated advancing members, stand side by side to learn, practice, and improve. Under the open sky of our hometown, every punch, every stance, and every focused gaze tells a story of discipline, respect, and shared purpose.

Here, martial arts is about far more than just physical skill. It is about building character, teaching us humility as we learn, perseverance when things feel difficult, and unity as we train alongside one another. You can see the determination in every face from our newest recruits finding their balance, to our more senior members leading by example, showing that growth is a journey we take together.

Back to Basics: Refreshing🥋

Sometimes the best training isn’t about being flawless, it’s about reminding yourself what you already know and keeping it sharp. Today, we’re just refreshing our craft. Polishing our kata to hold proper form and flow, working on light footwork drills to keep our movement smooth and steady, and doing controlled kumite drills to keep our reflexes and timing active.

No pressure to be perfect here! We’re simply brushing up, fixing small details, and making sure our skills stay strong. Karate is always a work in progress and showing up to refresh, even when you’re not at your sharpest, is what builds consistency and confidence.

Training together, learning together, and keeping the spirit alive that’s what matters most. 💪
